"She's high (high)
She lives in the sky
Tonight, she's satisfied (satisfied)
Rolling back her eyes
But then she starts to cry (to cry)
Everything is turning to black
All in one night (one night)
She just went to heaven and back (back)"The lyrics of heaven and back echo in the car as it comes to a stop and the engine cuts off. I glance around the surrounding, and realize we've stopped at a race circuit. A car race circuit to be more specific.
I turn towards Luca with an excited smile on my face, only to realize he's already looking down at me with a satisfied grin on his face.
"You're kidding." I squeak out in happiness at seeing this all too familiar place.
"I'm not." He tells me. "I know you can't drive yourself, but would you be up to drive with me?" He asks me, cocking his eyebrow in awaiting for my reaction. "You can be my passenger princess." He adds on to it with an arrogant grin.
"Hm." I act like I'm thinking about his suggestion, but of course I already have my answer ready.
"Okay, I'll be your passenger princess." I say, already beginning to open the car door, when I feel it's locked.
"Luca?" I ask him, but he has stepped outside and is already on his way towards my side of the car.
When he opens my car door, I give him a questioning look, which he only responds to, "A princess needs to be served right?" I laugh like a little kid, and he picks up my crutches before helping me out of the car, carrying me bridal style.
When I'm set, and standing more or less steadily on my crutches, Luca starts walking to what seems the entrance, slowing down every once in a while to wait on me.
We enter the crowded garage like building, and the only thing the bouncer receives from Luca is a nod to be let in.
My eyes gaze over the whole place in anticipation, and I can clearly spot all of the racers already parading with their rather ridiculous outfits.
Only from the corner we're standing in, I can already see atleast 6 people who look proud to be here, talking and chatting around with older men and women. Sponsors I assume.
I can't see any of the cars used for the races, but I do see a giant window looking out onto the grand racing circuit.
I also smell the rich scent of expensive champagne being thrown around like confetti, and I smell the strong Tabasco scent- belonging to the old cigars in those men's hands- flowing around in the air.
It surprises me how many different people from different ages are here. In the racing circuit me, Luca and Ted used to go to, it were mostly young snobby men and their gold digging girlfriends showing up. But here, their are less females, and a lot more men. The females I do see, are all accompanied with a man, usually a few years older than they are. The only few girls that are alone, is a group of four, all hanging around a certain area all in the back. I can spot a few boys too there, but it doesn't look like they're there to protect the females. It rather looks like they're there to be protected.
