If I have to name her situation in one word I'd choose bad. She went into Hypovolemic shock a few hours ago after we couldn't find anyone brave enough to sacrifice their own blood for her life. My blood type is A positive and hers is B negative so we had to find someone with the same as hers or with bloodtype O. There were a couple of doctors and nurses with the right bloodtype but they were too selfish to offer up a few tubes of their blood, which made me lose my fucking temper. I promised myself to make them pay after they had helped her. To make them choke in the blood they weren't willing to give my sister.
Finally after there was way too much time lost, I finally managed to force the blood out of a young guy with type O. He died soon after because I accidentally stabbed the wrong vein before and injecting air in it. Oops.
I've been watching Zina choke and splutter on her own blood for the past hours without anything I could do and it was devastating. A few minutes ago, she finally stopped gagging and throwing the contents of her stomach up, and she seemed stable. That's why I allowed my brothers to enter the room, but I was so wrong.
She had taken pills together with slitting her wrists. Not enough to die from, but enough to worsen her situation, right in front of the eyes of her brothers. Diego and Lucas had gone out of the room, lucky enough sparing them from the sight of their sister dying, but the damage was inflicted on Adrian and Eleandro already.
I still see the look of horror on their face when they saw what was happening to their sister, but I quickly sended them out of the room. I heard Adrian throw up, and even Eleandro failed to keep his emotionless facade. They were traumatized by the sight and I don't know if they will recover any time soon.
I also saw Diego figuring out what I already had noticed. The scars covering Zina's wrists were visible in her hospital gown, and I saw all my brother's gazes fixated on it too.
She must've suffered a lot to be this desperate to die. She made sure that she cutted deep enough and took some pills on top of it to make sure her goal would succeed. And It would've had Eleandro found her any later. A few seconds later and more than 40% of her blood would've been lost, and she would've officially bled out.
I saw the devastation in Diego's eyes when he found out him and his sister looked a lot more alike than he'd thought. Sure, when they were younger they had already looked more like eachother than Lucas and Diego did– and they were twins– but none of us had thought about the fact that maybe now, after 11 years of not having seen eachother, they were still not so different from eachother.
Only if we had realized earlier.
