Chapter 30: The Great Ring of Kong!

(Third Person POV)

After Sonic and his brother's made it back to the hut Mario, Tom, and the others were staying at, they told them everything. Mario and Tom felt terrible that Sonic had to endure all of that as a baby. Sad, Tom gave his son a hug to make him feel better, but it didn't do much. Toad however felt bad too, but was surprised by the fact that all this time, Tom kept a prince under his roof! Peach felt so sad for Sonic too, including The Baby Luma, Lena, Crysta, and Ethan.

"I'm so sorry Sonic, I hate that you had to know about all of that." Peach said, hugging him.

"It's fine. But I needed to know... and sometimes the truth hurts..." Sonic said.

Why did that have to be so true? But the truth can't stay hidden forever... eventually it'll come out of the shadows to resurface.

"Okay. But I promise you, I will not let that monster hurt you, or us. I swear it. Now, let's get some dinner before we hit the sack. Remember, we've got a fight to win tomorrow." Tom said.

Sonic nods in agreement, and softly smiles.

"Yeah..." with a yawn, Sonic replies "hopefully this DK guy goes soft on us."

Mario suggests that he should make spaghetti for tonight's dinner. Peach tries to make it, but she had a bit of mishap in trying to get it right. She needed a bit of guidance from a pro. With some help from Mario, he and her managed to both make spaghetti for the group and they all enjoyed their meal. Meanwhile from afar, the Koopa General was spying through a pair of binoculars. He sneers, and flys back to the Koopa Castle.

But back in the hut, after everyone finished eating, Mario wipes the baby Luma's face off with a napkin. He ended up playing in his spaghetti so Mario had to give him a bath. And once everyone went to sleep, Mario saw Peach sweating and hyperventilating in her sleep. She was probably having a nightmare about Bowser, and he didn't want to know what it was about. So like a good friend, he pats her head and she relaxed, having her nightmare turn into a more peaceful dream. Mario sighed, and went to sleep, thinking about Luigi's safety.

Speaking of Luigi, he's barely gotten a wink! What the hell were the Koopas even trying to do to him? Making him wear a wig, wear a dress?! Ludicrous! Pissed off, Luigi tears off the outfit, revealing his regular overalls and shirt, and punches the crap out of the guards!

"I AM NOT WEARING THAT TO TURN ON SOME KIND OF KINKY FETISH BOWSER HAS!!!" Luigi yelled.

Maddie was with him on this. They tried to do the same thing to her and she found it... unacceptable!!!

"Yeah, me neither! Get someone else! Also can someone get me some healing cream? It's bad enough these sores are killing me on my back!" Maddie said.

She meant the bites from Bowser on her back. Why do dragons always have to have a thing for flesh? At least he's able to control it. Metal however was kind enough to give Maddie her jacket back so she could cover those bites up. He even sprayed her back down with some antibiotics to hopefully patch up those marks. Feeling fed up with this and the whole Hyro-Rebel gang being missing thing back in the real world, Metal sent a message saying that the Hyro-Rebels were killed in a mine when it collapsed underground during the flood a few days ago. The news managed to take the bait but, only he knew the truth, and wanted to keep it hidden. So, he decided to give Bowser some blood bags for him to heat up for him to drink. Yet, Metal felt like he was onto something. Hearing Maddie and Luigi's complaints, he walks over to them to see what's up.
