'Are you sure you saw her entering this big house? I don't think it would be right to enter their main building without permission.' June was hesitant.
'But I saw with my own eyes. And it's not like we are theives. We are her friends. We go to Tay's house all the time.' Ton argued.
'That's different you moron! He is our childhood friend and she is our friend's new girlfriend! We barely know her!' June retorted.
'Okay okay stop arguing.' I spotted a maid and went to ask her.
'May I help you sir?' She asked politely.
'Um....we are looking for Mint. Have you seen her?'
'Yes sir. She is resting in her room.'
Resting?
'Oh. Is she feeling unwell or something?' I remembered that she was looking a bit tired before.
'Um....' The maid was hesitating.
'It's okay. If you don't want to say it, it's okay.' I can feel her reluctance.
'Thank you sir.' She relaxed slightly.
'If you meet her then tell her that we are waiting for her in the garden.'
'Sure.' With a nod she left.
'Let's go back.' June suggested.
'I have to pee.' Ton whispered.
'God! There are plenty of restrooms near the pool area. Go there!' I smacked his head.
'No no it's urgent! I can't hold it anymore!' Ton was holding his 'thing' over the pants.
'Stop touching it! Someone might see you!' June covered his face.
'Okay okay. I saw a toilet near the staircase. Let's find it quickly.' I don't want to let him create a scene here.
After searching we finally found one at the far end of the corridor.
'Finish your business quickly. We will be waiting here.'
Ton went in without any delay and June and I were about to start a conversation when I heard a voice coming from a nearby room.
I raised my eyebrows and June nodded. He's heard it too.
'I think it's P Waii's study.' He whispered.
'Maybe. Stop being so nosy.' I don't want to overhear personal conversations.
'I am going to listen. You wait here.' And to my horror he really went to stand near the door which wasn't fully closed.
'Hey! Come back.' I whispered. But he didn't bother.
I have no other option than to go there myself and drag him here. But the moment I grabbed his hand he pointed a finger towards the door.
We can see the inside of the room clearly from here. Two people were standing there. P Waii was near the window and his back was facing us and that waiter was in the middle of the room.
The boy was standing hands in pocket like he is in a park. We can see his face side wise and his lite smile is back.
'I was just helping aunty because she wasn't feeling well tonight. My hand slipped and the glass got broken. That girl was right beside me and got splashed by the wine. It was unintentional.'
P Waii was completely silent.
'Aunty didn't ask me to. I was helping her on my own. Don't say anything to her.. please.'
This time P turned around. His face was contorted with anger.
'That girl wasn't at fault. Aunty wasn't at fault then are you admitting it's your fault?' He growled.
