'Okay......what about you two?' He smiled at June and Ton.
Stop with that smile! Why are you so happy all the time?
'We can have some.' Ton eagerly took an apple.
'Have some more. I can't eat all of them. Help me finish.'
'Sure.' June joined the fun.
What's wrong with these guys!
'So how long do you have to stay here?' June asked after sometime.
'Um..two more days. They are going to observe if any of my internal organs are malfunctioning or not.'
'Oh!'
'Ah, nothing to worry about. I am fit and fine. They are just being extra cautious. You know, how families sometimes can be overbearing.'
'Yeah, parents. They always make things complicated.' June nodded furiously.

'So Tay, you are in the Economics department. I saw you the other day exiting from that building no three.'

I was going to say something sarcastic when his phone rang.
'Hi.' He answered in a low voice.
This is certainly P Waii.
'Mn. I am alright. Nothing serious.'
No this is someone else.
'Let me call you later. I am talking to my friends now.'

'Don't. Wait for my call.'

'Mn. Bye.'
His smile dimmed after he hung up. I can see his uneasiness.
'Um...guys I think I should rest now. Thanks for your help back then and thanks for your visit. I really appreciate it.'
'Oh come on. Don't think too much. Get well soon quickly. See you at the university.' June even patted his shoulder.
'Yeah. Bye for now.' He smiled but it was forced.
After leaving the hospital we went back to our homes. I wasn't in a mood to chat with these two imbeciles who were constantly praising New. Seems like they started to like him. What a joke!

After one week I saw him sipping coffee alone in the uni cafeteria. He regained his earlier complexion and was looking healthy. I don't know why but relief washed all over me. I was shocked at my own reaction.
