'Oh my god! New! Come come! What a pleasant surprise!'
Ma was very pleased to see him. To my surprise I didn't feel annoyed or anything. Moreover I felt happy. There must be something wrong with me!
'Hello Aunty, how are you?' New seems genuinely pleased to see her.
'I am fine. How about you? I was worried after hearing that incident.'
'I am totally fine. It was just a misunderstanding I guess. They mistook me for someone else.'
'Really! Still....what the police said?'
'Um....I didn't lodge any complaint so they stopped the investigation.'
I was taking out some juices from the refrigerator when this piece of information shook my hand. I dropped a bottle.
'Be careful.' Ma scolded me.
'.... sorry.' I quickly picked it up and closed the fridge door. My heart was racing. So that's why no one summoned us to interogate! I looked at June who was dazed too.
'I have to go out for a bit. You guys stay and have fun. I am going to instruct the cook to bring some foods for you. June, dumplings for you right? And New, what do you wanna eat?' Ma smiled at him kindly.
New didn't say anything and I don't know why but his face was a bit pale for some reasons. But quickly he regained his previous demenior and laughed,
'I am not a picky eater Aunty. Anything will do.'
'So considerate! Learn something from him you brat!' last bit was directed to me.
'I am not a picky eater too.' I was vexed.
June and Ma both laughed out loud.
'Really! What a liar.' Ma unmasked me in a second.
I was about to retort but New's laughter made me swallow my words. Fine, if you're happy to hear this......I can endure this humiliation.
'Okay okay stop this discussion. Let's go to Tay's room.' June sensed my discomfort and lend a hand.

'Yes. They are my favourite.' I secretly felt happy that he liked them too.
'I don't like their music at all.' June has to ruin the mood.
'Mn. Their song is not for everyone.' New wasn't offended at all.
'They produce only love songs. Tay used to listen to them all the time when he first fell in love with Mint.' June was eager to share my life history with him.

'Is that so?' But New was not at all bothered. He is totally opposite of Mint, who always gets angry whenever hears about New.
'Do you play any instrument?' I tried to avoid this conversation.
'I like guitar but don't know how to play.' He smiled.
'Mint Plays piano really well.' June said absent mindedly.
