'Don't leave me.... don't get mad...' I tried to keep my voice low....but it was trembling..
'What am I going to do with you huh? Can't I even get mad at you!' He shook his head.
'Don't get mad....'
'If you don't want me to get mad then don't do anything stupid...' He sighed heavily.
I closed my eyes and stayed in his embrace like this. My heart beat was coming down.....I am almost okay now but didn't dare to say that....what if he leaves me...
'Tay?' After a while he called me softly.
I opened my eyes.
'Feeling alright?'
I nodded tiredly.
'Can you move? Try to get up. The floor is cold.....'
I gathered my courage and hugged him tightly.
'Tay!'
'What's the time?' I asked.
'Time? It's 1am.'
'That means it's already 14th?'
'What? Yeah...I guess.'
'Great! Come with me.'
'Tay....Wha ...!'
'I am fine now, don't worry. Just give me some water.'
He was bewildered but slowly got up and gave me a glass of water.
I dragged him towards the study, opened the locked drawer and pulled out the envelope.
'Happy valentine's day. I wanted to give you this in the evening but......open it now.' I almost shoved it in his hand.
'What's this?' He didn't open it but looked at me.
'Do you remember when we exchanged rings in front of our close friends and family members.......I said to you that....I want this to be real and legit?'
One year ago, we unofficially got married. Our country doesn't give permission for same sex marriage so we just threw a party and exchanged rings and vows. That day I saw real pain in New's eyes. Everything was beautiful but my baby was sad. Because he wanted to marry me legally but couldn't do it. I asked him why he was so sad.... he told me a painful fact. He said that in his whole life he didn't get any identity that solely belongs to him. He doesn't have any parents....not foster, not biological....he doesn't have any blood related siblings......there was no one he had a proper claim on. I was helpless at that time because it's true that New didn't even have proper identification papers. So after some thoughts I consulted with Day and filled all the necessary documents and today I got all the papers which are required to get married in the USA.
Ms Ruby is the person who arranged everything so quickly and neatly. Day introduced her to me. He helped me a lot regarding arranging the papers. I was planning to give New this surprise tonight at the lake house where we are going to celebrate valentine's day. But that P Waii......
'Open it please?' I smiled.
He narrowed his eyes and after some deliberation opened the envelope.
It took a while for him to understand everything. But when he saw those Air tickets........he threw the envelope onto the floor and came running towards me and jumped on my lap in one swift motion.
'Te te!' He was laughing and crying at the same time.
'Yes baby?' I laughed at his funny reaction.
'Sorry I yelled at you.....' He was kissing all over my face.
'Sorry I made you worried...and so very sorry that you cried because of me.' I obediently let him kiss me.
'You are the best.....the best, the best, the best.' He finally stopped and looked at me with teary eyes.
'Keep going....I am ready to hear your praises anytime anywhere.' I rubbed my nose with his.
'I love you soooo much.'
'I love you too baby.'
We sat down on the sofa and kissed for a long time and when we both stopped to suck air I asked him,
'You didn't see the other papers.'
'There's more?' He said with wide eyes.
'Mn. That lake house......I transferred it to your name.'
'What!'
'My wedding gift to you.'
'No! Tay no....I can't.....'
'Are you refusing my gift? Are you that cold hearted!'
'Te te.....this is way too much....'
'Nothing is too much when it comes to my baby. Didn't you buy this house with your own money but also put my name as co-owner? Didn't you say....What's mine is yours? The same way my everything is yours too. But I want you to have that lake house. Everything else.....we will share just not that one. It's a very special place for us and I want you to be the sole owner. I will just be in your care... please?'
He gave me a soft smile and nodded.
'Then you weren't selling it?' He asked.
'Ah! I was talking to my lawyer that day and P Waii overheard our conversation so I lied to him....' I told him the details.
'Ms Ruby.....is....' He was biting his lip.
'Day introduced me to her. He knows everything.' I pulled him closer.
'Oh! You told him but not Hiya?'
'I don't trust him. He would've definitely snitched on me.'
'And he told me that you are selling it....I thought something was going on with the company.' New laughed.
'Nothing is wrong baby. Don't stress. You are doing well and I am doing well too.'
He gave me a beautiful shining smile.
'So....are you ready to get married again? This time..... legally....but it still won't be legal in here.'
'I don't care. I am just happy that somewhere in the world I will be legally your husband.' His eyes were full of hope.
'Well to me.....you are already my husband babe. Adorable and cute husband.' I kissed him again and said,

I scooped him up and went straight to the bedroom. We need to discuss something else....in bed .... something very important. We are going to start celebrating valentine's day..... with a bang......Ha Ha.
