'Tay! What took you so long? Come meet our saviour.' Pa waved at me.
New looked up and a flash of surprise crossed his face.
A bitter taste filled my mouth the moment I remembered that P Waii was neglectful towards his own sister but oh so caring towards him.

'So you are a waiter and a car mechanic?' I asked mockingly.
'Tay! What kind of attitude is this!' Ma glared at me.
'Um...it depends... whatever the situation needs I become one.' He said with a smile.
'Wow! Multiple talents!' I sneered.
'Thanks.' He totally ignored my sarcasm.
'He was passing by when found out that we were having car trouble. If it wasn't for him we had to wait god knows how long for a mechanic. He helped us so much. Thank you. By the way what's your name son?' Ma was praising him way too much.
'New! New!' Someone was shouting from afar.
'In here.' He shouted back.
'Ah...so your name is New?' Pa asked.
'Yeah.'
'I didn't see you at the party....'
'Oh I saw him. He was waiting tables at the poolside.' I wanted to humiliate him.
'Oh that's why! You were in the backyard all the time. It's so nice to meet you New. You are a good child. Your parents must be proud of you.'

He didn't say anything only smiled.
'It's getting late. I am tired. Let's go home.' I opened the door of the car.
'New! What are you doing here? Young master is looking for you everywhere.' Suddenly two bulky men appeared and almost grabbed him.
'Why didn't he call me?' He took out his phone and shook his head.
'Ah! I forgot to charge it again.'
'Hurry up, or else he will create a scene again.' One of them was a leader type.
'Don't worry P. Give me your phone. Let me talk to him first.'
He excused himself and call someone quickly. He walked a bit far.
'Young master? You mean Waii?' Pa asked one of the man.
'Yes sir.'
'Please inform him that we were having car trouble and New was helping us. Don't let him get upset with him.' Ma was worried.
Huh! Good for him. Let him have an earful. Though from my past experience I think he won't get scolded. What a pity.
'He is very caring young man. Because of us he got into trouble.' Pa muttered.
'Don't feel uneasy sir. Young master is just worried for him. He loves New very much. He usually doesn't get angry with him.'

'Let's go P. Your young master is in a bad mood tonight. He didn't want to hear my explanation. Let's try it in person.' New came back, laughed and handed over the phone.
'New....' Pa wanted to say something but didn't say it.
'It's alright sir. I'll take your leave now. Don't worry about the car. It won't break down again.' He waved and left with them.
