'The Khemwaens are going to do a press release in the evening. I got to know about it earlier because...... Mr Khemwaen personally called me.' Pa was talking slowly.

'Why are you looking at each other? Do you know about it too?'
'Yeah.' I nodded.
Suddenly Ma started to sob.
'Ma! What's wrong!' We were shocked but Pa just rubbed her back and said nothing.
'Who told you?' Pa asked us after sometime.
'Yesterday, I got to know about P Waii's sickness through a.... friend and then Ma told us too.....why are you crying ma?' We were both worried and confused.
'It's not about Waii. He is alright now.... completely broken hearted... but.... physically alright.'
'Broken hearted! Did something happen to Mint? We heard about her heart transplant surgery....but as far as I know she was doing alright!' I asked with a beating heart. Of course I hate her.....but still I don't want anything bad for her.
'She is doing fine.'
'Then!' I scowled. An ominous feeling was sending chills down my spine. I clenched my fist.
'Thada..... It's about....' Pa didn't look at me but he grabbed Thada's hand.
'What's going on Pa? You are making me worried....' Thada asked fearfully.
Ma covered her face and her whole body was trembling.
'New is no more.'
The hall became totally silent only ma's sobbing was the one sound that was making the atmosphere eerie.
'No more? No more what? Who? New? What that means!' I didn't understand pa's statement.
'What the hell are you talking about?' Suddenly Thada roared.
'Thada? What is it? What did he mean by that?' I asked Thada helplessly.
'Few days ago New got into an accident.....his rental car was hit by a truck and he fell down in the river. He didn't know how to swim...when the police came .....he was in verge of death...still they tried to resurrect him but his injury was severe and he succumbed to death in the hospital few hours later.'
After hearing this I stared blankly for a moment then started to laugh hysterically.

'Tay!' Pa gave me a hard look.
'What a touching story Pa. Wonderful!' I applauded.
'Tay! What's wrong with you! This is not a story! New is dead!' Pa was angry.
'Yeah! Right!' I leaned on the sofa and shook my head. My heart was throbbing painfully and my head was full of confusion but my face was smiling.
Thada sat down beside me and held my hand tightly. Then he murmured,
'This can't be true. There must be some mistake...maybe it's P Waii....'
'Waii was there when this accident happened...he saw everything with his own eyes and after the doctors declared New dead.....he fell into a coma like state. He loved his brother very much.....he was in utter shock...'

'I am tired and don't want to listen to this crap anymore. I am going to my room.' I got up and just took two steps when Pa angrily scolded me,
