'Baby? Why are you crying?!'
I was listening to his words with rapt attention and didn't even realise that I started to think about the past and my eyes started to tear up.
Shit! Now I am super embarrassed.
'What are you talking about? I am not crying.' I hastily wiped my tears and sat up straight.
'Then why is my neck wet?' He touched his neck and stared at me.
'It's my sweat. It's so hot in here that I am sweating like a pig.'
'Hm.'
He didn't argue with me. I was relieved because I don't know what to say if he kept insisting that I was crying.
'The weather is very stuffy today.' I looked up at the sky.
'Mn. I think a storm is coming.' Tay got up and patted the dust away from his pants.
'But it's so sunny.' I tried to find any trace of clouds but didn't succeed.
'Not right now but I think in the afternoon the weather is going to take a turn.' He extended his hand for me to take.
'Is it safe to stay in the lake house? I mean it's in the middle of the water.' I gripped it tightly and he pulled me up with ease.
'Huh! It's very sturdy! Don't worry. And don't forget that I am with you. I will protect you if anything happens.' he didn't release my hand but pulled me closer.
'Really? Are you a super hero?' I laughed.
'Hm. I am Ironman.'
'Then let's go Tony, teach me how to swim.'
'Let's go. I will teach you so well that you will become Aquaman.'
'Wrong universes. DC and Marvel. Don't mix up.'
'So what?'
'If we belong to the wrong universe then we won't be together.'
'You! Don't say such things!'
'What are you angry for? I was just....'
'Forget it....'
He stopped talking altogether. I don't know what I said wrong so also became silent. After a few moments he said,
'Do you like comics?'
'Nah. But I know everything about them. Day is a comic fanatic. He loves watching those movies so sometimes we watch them together. I am not very fond of them though.'
'Great.' Tay muttered.

'Do you like comics?' I asked after sometime. We were walking side by side. Next destination is the lake.
'Hm.'
'Ironman is your favourite?'
'Hm.'
He was giving perfunctory answer.
'What's wrong?'
'Nothing.'
'Tay......tell me what's wrong. So that I can make it right.'
'I thought Day was only your business related friend. But you just said you two used to go movies together.'
Oh! You are jealous!
'Not in the movie theatre. We usually watched them on laptop. You know already that I have to meet him frequently to gather information. Whenever I got bored with work he insisted on taking a break and we always ended up watching those movies. It's the only collection he has.' I patiently explained.
