(A/N I'm sorry about the large jumps in time! Its a short book!)

Luke's POV

*2 months later*

"Tess! Will you fuck off!" Michael yelled, obviously frustrated.

Tess scoffed and glared towards my best friend and then looked back at me. I refused to meet her gaze, instead I was swirling my drink around in my water bottle and wished that time would go faster.

I don't know why Tess is always with us. None of us even like her. Ariana has refused to even look at me now and I regret having the argument which took place a few months ago.

Just because we're not speaking doesn't mean that I don't love her anymore. Because I do, I love her even more than I did before. Her beautiful red hair which cascaded down her shoulders and her brown eyes always sparkled when she smiled.

"She won't speak to me" Calum sighed as he sat back down beside me after a failed attempt of talking to Ariana.

"I've messed up so bad" I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck.

Ariana was sitting at the table in front of us so she could probably hear our conversations. I bit my lip as I watched her flick her hair over her shoulder and then Tess blocked my view with her orange face.

"Baby. You're my boyfriend. Not hers" I almost choked on nothing as I sat here completely shocked and confused at Tess' words.

"Boyfriend? What the fuck? I'm not your boyfriend either so fuck off. I don't appreciate being used to hurt people" I spat and stormed out of the cafeteria.

I need Ariana back, I've never been like this before. Its driving me crazy not being with her. We would usually be together as much as possible. I miss her.

Ariana's POV

I heard something coming from outside of our house so I looked outside and the sound got louder and I could recognise it as my favourite song.

I spotted Luke strumming his guitar underneath the tree in the front yard and he began to sing. His voice was mesmerising.
He was singing 'The Mess I Made by Parachute'.

Should've kissed you there, I should've held your face
I should've watched those eyes instead of run in place
I should've called you out, I should've said your name
I should've turned around, I should've looked again.

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made,
I'm staring at the mess I made,
I'm staring at the mess I made,
As you turn you take your heart and walk away.

Should've held my ground, I could've been redeemed
For every second chance that changed its mind on me
I should've spoken up, I should've proudly claimed
That oh my head's to blame for all my heart's mistakes.

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made,
I'm staring at the mess I made,
I'm staring at the mess I made,
As you turn you take your heart and walk away.

I wiped my eyes and hurried outside. Luke placed his guitar down and opened his arms so that I could jump into them. His arms felt so familiar and I had missed being wrapped in them.

"I'm so sorry" he whispered and held me tighter.

"Me too, Lukey" I placed my lips against his cheek for a few seconds and then rested my head on his shoulder to get used to the feeling of being held once again.
