(Y/N) frowned when she noticed her chocolate milk was empty. Her class was empty, so she felt at ease and didn't want to get up. As a result she had been irritatedly chewing her straw for the past fifteen minutes. Eventually though, she let out a sigh, stood up, put her belongings in her bag, and reached for her phone.
The wind coming through the windows caused her hair to flutter causing her hair to be messed up. She closed her eyes and tried to see out of the window, past her hair on her face.
As she did, she saw him again.
She had been noticing him a lot in the hallways for the past few weeks. He was always laughing and grinning, and he had another boy with white hair who was always somewhat annoyed by his antics. They seemed quite close.
However, oddly enough
Each time she saw him... He returned her gaze, maintaining eye contact until one of them averted their gaze; for her, it was embarrassment, but she had no idea what he was thinking. Surprisingly, he was holding the same can of chocolate milk in his hand that she always drinks.
On other days, she noticed him strolling with a girl who was likely younger than him after school. She first believed that the girl was his girlfriend, but the way they interacted—fighting, beating, insulting, and still laughing—made her conclude that they were more like siblings than romantic partners.
It was incredible...
How, once you gain curiosity about someone...
you begin to notice them more...
want to see them more...
and wish you knew more about them...
It wasn't infatuation she was feeling; it was simply curiosity about someone who seemed....out of this planet. That's why she was still standing near the window, staring at the boy playing basketball.
She had a small smile as she watched him sprint and dunk the ball into the hoop.
When he smiled
She too smiled.
His smile was infectiously beautiful. He was grinning despite his sweating and panting.
He stretched out his hand and then let out a yawn.
"Pfft, that's adorable."
(Y/N) felt a need to whisper this to herself.
The boy paused as he approached the ball and turned to face the window where she was standing, as though he had known she was there all along.
Even if it seemed somewhat far away, the girl took a breath as she felt his gaze on her. She was afraid to turn around, and her hands were shaking. It appeared as though he was watching her and attempting to take in as much as possible.
But then,
And with a small movement of his hand, he raised it above his head.
