"Oh, you're here."

You eyed the girl in front of you who was panting, Rin was still dressed in her school uniform, and her hair was a complete disaster. "Are you ok?" you asked, tilting your head in bewilderment.

"Ya- I'm....good," the girl said, taking a long breath and blowing her hair out of her face while gasping. "Sorry for making you wait (Y/N)"

You smiled as you shook your head, "Don't worry, I wasn't waiting long."

After a short while, you two went into the arcade. From the balmy, humid sunshine to the chilly, bright interior, the atmosphere had changed. The arcade seemed busy, with people of all ages laughing and screaming.

You looked at Rin, who was still examining the arcade with fascination and delight "I already got the card soooo what do you want to play?"

Rin had never been to an arcade before, her parents always believed that anything even somewhat enjoyable was a waste of time.

"Oh! um your asking me?" Rin laughed uncomfortably, feeling a little ashamed to admit that she had never played any games here.

You took her hand and put the card on it softly, "I invited you so...!" "You can choose any game you find interesting!"

Rin's expression was filled with surprise as she glanced at the card and then at you. Her lips immediately morphed into a smile. She tugged (Y/N) energetically around the arcade, looking at the various games she was dying to play, until she came across one she felt would be entertaining.

"Oh! "That was so fuuun!" You two sat inside a restaurant next to the arcade after a good several hours. Rin was grinning from ear to ear which didn't go unnoticed by you.

You looked at her with warm smile, finding amusement in the childlike awe she displayed.

Rin's emotions were always displayed on her face, so it was simple to determine her sincere intentions.

You smiled a little to yourself, in a way she was quite similar to Cheng Xiaoshi. He always wore a warm charming smile on his face. At this moment you missed Cheng Xiaoshi a little. His smile was something you found yourself becoming addicted to.

Suddenly your phone rang, you winced, and Rin even stopped to look at you.

'Dad....' you thought sourly.

You put the phone to your ear and reluctantly answered, biting your lip.

"Hi dad, something wrong?"

Through your phone, a deep, rough voice spoke, "just wanted to let you know that we won't be coming home today"

You paused.

"Oh ok" you didn't know what else to say.

"Oh honey! tell her to pick (B/N) from school, I forgot and the teacher called a few hours ago" From across the room, you could just make out your mother's tremulous voice speaking to your father.

Rin gave you a worried look as your eyes grew big and you instantly rose from your seat: "You guys haven't picked him up yet? It's seven??" You yelled in panic and quickly started to gather your belongings off the table.

Your mother's voice was much clearer now "I told you I forgot." her annoyed voice made you want to punch her. "Besides, I was busy," she didn't seem worried at all.

"ARE YO-whatever I'm going" You were more concerned for your brother than you were angry at your parents, so you quickly cut the call.

"What happened?" Rin gave you a worried expression.

"Nothing just- I have to leave" you apologised to your friend who looked a bit sad. You felt awful, but you were more concerned about your brother.

"Oh no, it's fine," she said, smiling and waving her hands dismissively. As you hurried to your brother's school, you waved Rin off, hoping your brother was okay.

Rin looked at your figure as it disappeared into the corners. She took a breath and looked off in the distance.

'Shame, I was having so much fun....'

FUN FACT!!!

1 . Rin's mom found about her daughter's escapade!
