The calm ocean waves lapped gently on your feet. The soft chirping of the birds was the only sound that you heard.
"Look here (Y/N)!" your favorite voice snapped you out of your trance. His voice was full of joy.

The black haired boy clicked the photo of a (H/C) haired girl with a white camera.
He had an unreadable expression as he looked at the picture.
His face was a mix of emotions, sadness, pain, guilt, longing... A brilliantly painted mess of emotions.
He gripped the camera in his hand, biting his lip.
"Why stare at a picture when you have the real thing in front of you" you walked to him with a smirk. The brown sand touched your feet as you did.
He looked up you, it felt like this was the first time he had seen you after a long time. As if he was waiting for you for so long. His heart hurt, it hurt so much.
"Cheng Xiaoshi?" your voice was soft, you tilted your head in worry.
Before you knew it, his arms reached to your waist, wrapping them around it. He pulled you closer to his body, burying his face on the crook of your neck.
He sighed, inhaling you scent, relishing in it. He was trying to memorize it. He was scared if he didn't, in the future he might forget how comforting it felt.

He missed all of this.
Yet he only had 12 hours with you.
He wanted to tell you so many things, do so many things, ask so many things..
But right now just having you this close was itself a blessing.

It it were anyone else he wouldn't be this phased, but that was the problem. It was you.

So now he would just hold you for a while, then go to the market, laugh with you, then take a walk and hold your hand.....
