While Qiao Ling had gone out to work, Cheng Xiaoshi had insisted on being a gentleman and walking you home.

Your brother waved to him with a big smile as you arrived at your home.

"Bye bye brother! I loved the plush animal. Also all the best!"

He went inside the house to keep his stuffed animal in his room as soon as you unlocked the door. You could also hear your mother scolding him in low voices.

"You reached the brother basis already?" you scoffed playfully.

"What can I say~ kids love me!" He spoke it like a fact, which made the girl smile and roll her eyes.

"Besides wasn't it my handsomeness that attracted you towards me~" he teased.

"whatever dumbass"

You laughed at his cockiness and silently watched him.

"......"

"(Y/N) I'm upset with you" The words came out of nowhere, and he quickly regretted it.

"I-I mean... You already gave your number to that monkey but I have been talking to you for so long! I still don't have your number!" He sighed sorrowfully.

'Is the monkey referring to Qiao Ling?'

She cleared her throat slightly.

Without thinking, the girl stretched her hand towards him and stared into his eyes. When he didn't react, you spoke.

"your phone dumbass so I can put my number in"

"I-Oh..."

The boy's eyes widened at what you said and immediately put his phone in your hands while his face reddened. He looked at the concrete beneath his feet as a way to distract himself. 

It was so rare to see him this flustered, so you felt like you had accomplished something huge.

He didn't seem to believe what he was seeing when you typed in your number and returned the phone to him.

"Um... I'll go then?" You said resting your hand on the nape of your neck. He nodded carelessly and started to head toward the gate. You suddenly remembered something and stopped him.

"wait what did you talk to my brother?"

"hm?"

"he looked awfully happy, even I want to know what made him this ecstatic" you murmured quietly.

Cheng Xiaoshi paused, and stared at (Y/N). The boy then flashed a cheeky smile, teasingly putting his slender finger to his lips.

"That's a secret~"

1.(Y/N) re-wrote her reply for 10 MINS to type a reply to his hi text.

2.Cheng Xiaoshi didn't go back to his apartment until he messaged (Y/N) which lo and behold took more than 10mins.
