You were aware that your parents weren't always interested in the things you and your brother did, but the fact that they left your brother waiting alone in the school really.... Pissed you off.

 Just as you were ready to order a cab to get there more quickly, you got a call. 

'Cheng Xiaoshi?' the girl thought as she stopped a bit. You bit your lip when you answered the phone. Although you were in a hurry, you didn't want to ignore your boyfriend's call.

"Hey, so I picked up your brother?" His voice and words were like music to your ears. You froze as you processed his words. You simply breathed in relief not caring how in the world your brother was with him. 

"Hi sis! I'm with your boyfriend" the kid speaking snickered teasingly.

(Y/N) smiled, glad to hear her brothers voice.

"We are near the gate! Do you want me to drop him off at your house?" Cheng Xiaoshi asked sweetly as if this was something normal to him.

You paused, clutched the phone close to your ear, and inhaled slowly. This person you were talking too, you really did love him. He took care of your brother without asking and was even willing to drop him off at your place.

It was the first time you experienced such unabashed kindness.

"No it's fine I'll come to the school gate"You replied smiling softly as you took a taxi to your school.

"(B/N)!!" When you saw your brother, you gasped in relief, and he rushed to hug you tightly.

Even though Cheng Xiaoshi was with him the entire time, your brother still missed you, and he practically jumped when he heard your voice. Cheng Xiaoshi smiled as he observed you two.

He knew both of you bantered a lot but he also knew you loved each other.

He envied that.

He wished he had someone like that—someone you would die for.

He choose to believe that in reality there were few who actually cared for him, and even fewer who would stay with him forever.

'and you (Y/N)...'  he stared at your smiling face as you talked to your brother.

'I'm sure, you wont leave me'

With a strange feeling of joy growing in his chest, he approached you both and put his arms around you.

"Hey I feel left out now" he laughed jokingly.

'Because if you do...'

(Y/N) looked at him smiling and put a hand over her brother's eyes, leaning forward while the boy looked at her confused. She placed a soft kiss on his lips.

As if to reassure him and say 'I'm here'.

He looked at your face, blinking, admiring it for a moment, and smiled back at you.

'I don't think I'll be able to handle it'
