The next day at school, (Y/N) sat calmly in her chair. The girl was going through her phone because there was still a good amount of time until the bell rang, signaling each student to go to the assembly hall for the morning assembly. She gazed down at her phone indifferently, one hand on her cheek and the other on the device.
She could hear whispers and conversations going on around her; her classmates were talking loudly. She wasn't expecting someone to approach her and strike up a conversation, though. Nobody bothered to talk to her because she had already established herself as a loner...till today.
A loud voice called out from the corner of the classroom,
"Someone's looking for you." It belonged to a girl who was rather short and had curtain bangs and silky hair. The same girl was still staring at her as she turned around. (Y/N) remained still. The small girl approached her, tilting her head in inquiry.
"(Y/NN) Someone is looking for you" The girl, whose name was Rin, smiled as she talked.
"...Me?"
"Yes, I'm saying this for the third time." Rin let out a giggle, then took hold of her hand and drew her in close to her, her lips close to (Y/N)'s ear. Her silky hair tickled (Y/N)'s skin.
"I am a little sad, I thought you didn't talk to anyone, but I guess you just didn't like me" she remarked, a mischievous pout on her lips. "Btw, I never would have guessed you knew Cheng Xiaoshi."
Rin chuckled when she saw the confused look on (Y/N)'s face. "Just kidding, but you really should go before the bell rings since Cheng Xiaoshi is outside."
(Y/N) stood up and moved toward the direction of the door as Rin continued her conversation with her friend. She has never heard of Cheng Xiaoshi, then who is the person searching for her? Her thoughts came to a halt as she took a peek at the figure close to the door.
It was him
The basket ball guy.
As soon as she spotted him, a slight blush crept on her face. She'd never seen him this close before. Though she already knew he was tall, being this close to him confirmed it. The boy looked at her, and his expression lit up the moment she moved forward.
"Cute," she thought.
Perhaps it was only her imagination, but she also heard someone scoff next to his shoulder.
"Do I know you?" She made the decision to act oblivious purely for entertainment.
"Hmm," the boy smirked as he moved closer to her face, causing loud whispers throughout the classroom. "Yep! I finally found you.
(Y/N) remained still in her spot, hoping her blush remained hidden. The boy, now she knew his name was Cheng Xiaoshi blinked and spoke in a flirtatious tone.
"I know I'm handsome, but please don't stare at me."
