"I thought you would be here..." a voice called out to you.

Yours eyes widened, as they shot up to the source of that voice.

Yours hand lost it's grip, the can in your hand immediately slipped and it's contents spilled out.

The boys eyes peered away from yours and looked at the spill that was near your feet.

With his monotonous voice he spoke out
"Your as messy as eve-"

"Xiaoshi.." your voice seemed so desperate, oh how you missed hearing his name from your mouth. You didn't even let him finish his sentence.

You knew you looked pathetic, with your watery eyes, a barely put together outfit and disheveled hair.

You didn't want your first impression to him be like this. You had thought about the clothes you'd wear, the things you'd say when you see him again but....

You really weren't thinking about it.

Cheng Xiaoshi as usual,

By simply existing

Made you smile.

You smiled warmly at his figure. A range of emotions, grief, rage, agony, and longing, were smeared across his face.

He wanted to appear strong, as if the loss of you didn't hurt him to bits. He believed that by now he would have moved on from the anguish of your disappearance... Yet here he was, almost in the verge of breaking down.

How pathetic.

"You didn't change at all" you laughed softly as u bit back your tears.

He could see the tears in your eyes, and his gaze deepened to one of sheer agony. He knew that just talking to him hurt you. All he ever did was hurt you didn't he?....

'You are so obvious (Y/N)' he thought as he saw you blinking the tears back.

He looked at your figure, his voice soft. He could see you weren't in the best shape. Your entire body exuded fatigue.

"And you are..." he started

You were always someone who smiled, never tired, never looking like,

You had given up.

You were his light.

Yet,

He wondered what was it that broke you to something so...

Empty

Maybe it was him...?

It's funny because if someone had been in his shoes, they would have immediately begun yelling at their partner for answers.

But at this point in time,

All he could think of was....

"... a completely different person"
