It's been about a week since we've been at Nizren's place. Back then, we decided to come back get rid of the "ghosts" as soon as we prepare everything necessary to deal with them, but actually it was just Gabriel preparing things. Lynn and I spent our time with the usual: hunting goblins and clearing their nests. While we still need to find the reason how they keep recovering their numbers so quickly, we're doing a pretty good job at keeping their numbers low and the roads safe.

Wearing a tight grey overall, Gabriel stood before the trapdoor leading into the ground below the hot spring, checking the contents of his backpack. As he finished, he turned back to the group of people behind him.

"Okay, is everyone ready?" He asked.

Ivan, wearing a tight gray overall with only the belt that carried his dual broadswords over it, scratched his bottom with an annoyed look on his face.

"Yeah." Lynn gave a confident nod, also wearing a gray overall. She wore a belt similar to Ivan's, her dagger sheathed on it, while her quilt and trusty bow were strapped to her back.

The hot spring owner Nizren and her servant Maya observed the scene with a look of confusion and slight concern.

"Why are you dressed like that again?" Nizren asked.

"These clothes are made from a special lightweight wool. Its outer layer has hydrophobic properties, meaning it will absorb very little to no water. Basically, our clothes will get wet slower so we can move quicker and more comfortably." Gabriel explains with a proud grin.

"They also cost us 5000 perun a piece..." Ivan grumbled under his breath.

"I already told you, we'll be able to sell these and make most of that money back." Gabriel reasoned.

"Whatever..." Ivan murmured.

"In any case, please drink the potions I gave you earlier." The young mage requested before revealing a small potion bottle filled with a white liquid. Popping the cork, he gulps it down in one go, followed by his 2 comrades.

"What are they for?" Maya asked.

"They'll make us less sensitive to heat and keep our body temperature at a normal level. We won't sweat or feel the the heat as much so it should make things easier. Our bodies can still get damaged, though, we just won't feel it." Gabriel explained*

"I-I see..." The girl nodded.

"Well then." Gabriel bent, grabbing the rusty handle of the trapdoor and pulling it open. A wave of warm, humid air immediately embraced everyone present.

Gabriel looked down the steep wooden stairs leading into an impenetrable fog with a look of uncertainty.

"Getting hot feet?" Ivan grinned.

"Don't you mean cold feet?" Lynn crossed her arms.

"I know what I said." Ivan rebutted.

"I'm not getting cold OR hot feet, alright!" Gabriel snapped, turning back to Ivan and Lynn.

"Right, sorry chief~" Ivan apologized with a mocking undertone.

"We should waste time no longer." Declared Nizren suddenly as she walked towards the trap door.

"Huh?" Gabriel hmed, turning away from his comrades.

"You're coming with us?" Lynn raised an eyebrow.

"But of course." Nizren nodded with devious smirk. "Our... basement is quite difficult to navigate, you see. I'll be your guide so you children don't get lost."

Lynn narrowed her eyes. "You saw what those monsters can do. It'll be dangerous."

"I can handle myself." said Nizren confidently.
