Yesterday, Gabriel returned to the inn, looking deeply troubled. Apparently, Barny discovered that he and Lan have been practicing spells together in the nearby forest. The old man seems to have a major issue with Lan studying magic so he went bananas and forbade her to hang with Gabriel. Because of this, Gabriel refuses to come out of his room, which is an issue, since we need him to clear the goblin nests. Lynn and I tried to solve the issue by going directly to Barny and talking things through. However, he was having none of it, spouting things like "You are no longer welcome here!" and "I have nothing to talk to you about." while pushing us out of his shop. Rude.
"Ugh." Lynn angrily clenched her teeth as she and Ivan walked back to the inn. "That unreasonable old fart."
While I myself felt just mildly insulted by the whole situation, Lynn was absolutely fuming it would seem. She's pretty persuasive and stubborn, so being met with an even more stubborn person who shut her down before she got as much as a chance to talk was something she wasn't used to. She'll do whatever it takes to win a battle, but what does she do if the opponent refuses to fight in the first place?
"Perhaps going there after just one day wasn't the best course of action?" Ivan suggested.
"Maybe, whatever. It's fine, I was just testing the waters. We'll try again later." Lynn scoffed, miserably failing to mask the exasperation she felt.
"For now, we should continue preparing for the nests." she continued. "Let's go to the blacksmith. I need more arrows, and my blade has gotten dull."
"Sure. I should probably get my broadswords fixed as well."
"Those beat up things? Just buy a new pair already. It's cheaper." Lynn argued.
"And abandon Sara and Sora?? Don't be ridiculous." Ivan rolled his eyes.
"The swords have names...?"
"Of course they do. They are my loyal girls, after all." the boy declared as he proudly tapped the stained scabbard on his belt.
"Touch some grass."

Arriving at the blacksmith's, the two adventurers would find it barren of any customers.
"Welcome!" a deep voice filled the room as a man walked in through the door near the counter, which probably lead into the workshop. He was tall, bald, as well as covered in muscles and soot - undoubtedly a result of his taxing profession.
"Morning, Smitty." Lynn nodded, immediately walking over to the section containing bows, arrows, quivers and other items related to archery.
Ivan, on the other hand, walked up to the shopkeeper, removing the scabbard from his belt and placing it on the counter.
"Hi. I need my twin broadswords fixed."
"Again? I told you before, I already got my hands on a new pair of broadsword weeks ago and I'm still saving them for you! Buy 'em already, it's hardly worth it fixing these anymore." said the blacksmith as he drew the blades presented by Ivan, inspecting their dented, uneven surface.
"Just fix my blades, please." Ivan persisted.
The tall blacksmith accepted defeat with a sigh.
