And so, the goblin hordes ceased, Itten being the one to kill the last of them.

"Man..." Ivan exhaled loudly as he dropped himself to the ground, unbothered by the countless corpses surrounding him.

"Hagh!" Itten grunted as he pulled his sword out of the goblin's chest. He took a glimpse at his blade, soiled by the thick, dark blood of monsters. Wasting no time, he began wiping the blood off on a dead goblin's robes.

Lynn looked over to Ivan, her calm yet heavy expression turning slightly sour as she discovered where he was lying.

"We could all use a break, but sitting right next to those is revolting." she said, walking over to a nearby flipped minecart and sitting down on it.

Lynn was followed by the remainder of the group, including the injured guard who was being supported by two other guards. Once he was sat, Rishia approached him and began whispering a chant.

"Don't overexert yourself, Rishia." frowned Itten, his concerned expression glued to the girl "You just used two big spells in a row, you need to rest."

"Don't worry about me." Rishia gave Itten a reassuring smile before turning back to the soldier and circling her staff around his bleeding shoulder. A faint, calming green glow appeared from the tip of the staff and within seconds, the large open wound began shrinking, eventually turning into a scab which fell off to reveal a small scar.

It's always fascinating to see how efficient healing magic is. It also brings home how crucial healers are out on the field. This soldier would be dead weight right now, slowing the entire party down, had it not been for Rishia. Good job, Rishia, it's a shame Itten found you before I did.

"There you go." the girl smiled calmly. "The scar should disappear with time as we— cough! cough cough!—"

Rishia suddenly began having a coughing fit, nearly falling to the ground. Itten was there to catch her on time, though.

"Rishia! Are you alright??" asked Itten with a pained expression as he held her.

"I'm fine..." she smiled meekly, attempting to dismiss what just happened. "I used up all of my mana again it would seem. All I need is another mana potion so I can—"

She could not bring out another word, however, as her head jerked forward, tiny amounts of liquid forcing their way out through her tightly shut lips. With a second violent jerk of her head, she began vomitting on the ground.

Itten was quick to tighten his hold on her again as Rishia fell to her knees. Everyone else, say for Ivan, worriedly gathered around her, unable to do anything but watch.

"Rishia! Ri– Rishia!!" Itten cried out.

I get that he's worried but yelling so much in a goblin nest isn't good, especially when we're in such a vulnerable state.

"Please calm down, Itten." whispered Lynn. "For Rishia's sake, we can't afford unwanted attention right now."

Yes, Lynn, thank you. Now I don't hafta be the jerk who points that out in such a situation.

Itten didn't reply, his intense gaze focused on the kneeling girl before him. She seemed to be done vomitting as her shallow breathing calmed down.

"Water..." she panted quietly, turning her head slightly towards Itten, unable to meet his gaze however.

"R-right!" Itten gave her a tense nod as he began rummaging through the bag that was carried by Rishia. Soon enough, he found her leather flask, and brought it to her mouth. Rishia straightened herself as soon as she got hold of the flask, taking several big gulps of the contents. A large part of the water spilled down her face and neck, soaking in her white robes—this didn't bother the usually graceful young girl, though, as the only thing on her mind at that moment was rehydrating.
