"Good evening, he's all yours." Rishia chanted playfully before sliding past the ranger.
As soon as Rishia left, Lynn entered the room, slamming the door shut. She simply stood there, silently observing the boy who sat on the bed for what delt like minutes. Her piercing gaze was calm but cold, making Ivan unsure of what to expect.
"I see you've recovered quite nicely." she said, finally breaking the silence.
"Uh... I guess I hav-"
"How long until you can fight again?" The girl spoke over the Ivan's quiet mutter.
"...Probably a few more days. Rishia told me I can start moving around tomorrow so we'll see from there."
"I see." Lynn nodded, leisurely strolling over to the window and looking out to the dimly lit streets.
"There have been reports of two big goblin nests forming near Lyugo. One is in the deserted village to the southeast and the other nest is in the old ore mine to the north. Both locations have been recurring goblin nests but now they've grown out of control, apparently. A regular party of adventurets can't deal with them."
"Why doesn't the guild just assemble several parties to deal with the nests?" Ivan asked.
Hearing Ivan's question, the girl couldn't help but sigh quietly.
"Doing that requires the guild to put up a completely separate quest for clearing the nests and the issuer of such a quest, this town, can't muster up a reward good enough to attract the attention of respectable parties, especially since they'd also have to pay for the goblin ears that the group brings back."
"I see..." Ivan pondered. "That sounds like a difficult situation."
"It is, but we've already figured out a plan." Lynn claimed nonchalantly. "Itten's party has agreed to help us clear the nests without any extra additional compensation, and there are a few volunteers from the town guard. With you there as well, it'll be enough to clear the nests without issue."
"Right." Ivan nods. "I guess I should be fit enough for that in a couple of days, so count on me."
"Good." Lynn nodded before turning to the door. "That's all."
Ivan watched the girl walk towards the exist, his faltering gaze suggesting a hint of disappointment.
Lynn grabbed the door handle, but hesitated. "...Hunting has been quite dull without you around. Get well soon." She muttered silently, her back still turned to the boy.
"Ah, Ly-" But before he could say anything, she'd already left.
And so, Ivan was all by himself again, the sound if the door closing echoing in his mind as he stared at it.
"...Hell yeah!!"
Suddenly, the boy began ferociously pumping his fists with a huge grin on his face.
She totally misses me! She tried to hide it so bad but it was so painfully obvious! Ugh, guess I have no choice now! Gotta recover as soon as possible now! Gotta join her quickly so she doesn't become too lonely!
Ivan spends the night celebrating his victory, forgetting his troubles.

The following morning Ivan made sure to wake up extra early, as if that would make the day arrive quicker and make his injuries go away faster.
"Hiya!" The boy jumped out of bed with astonishing speed and fierceness. Even so, his feet made virtually no sound as they landed on the wooden floor.
