Jitin was a 16-year-old boy. He was the only son in his family, so he grew up living with his mother.
He helped his mother with all the household chores, from sweeping and mopping to washing clothes.
His mother had raised him like a girl.
Jitin used to go out with his friends, but he always returned home at the time set by his mother.
She treated him like her daughter.
Jitin had turned 16 and now looked exactly like a girl. He had started to grow a light beard, but the neighbor aunty who waxed his mother's hair waxed his too. She also shaped his eyebrows.
It was Saturday and Jitin's mother was saying to her husband, "I want to go to the temple tomorrow. I wish I had a daughter so that I could go with her."
Jitin's father said, "So what? Take your son. Take him around the temple. I'm going to another city for work tonight and won't be back for four days."
Jitin's mother had an idea. She sent Jitin to the local beauty parlor, asking the parlor lady to pierce his ears and nose. Jitin sat down in the parlor and the lady pierced his nose and ears with a machine. She then put on earrings and a small nose ring.
Jitin looked at himself in the mirror and was scared. What if his father saw him? The parlor lady reassured him, saying, "Your mother has told me to keep you here until your father leaves."
Jitin spent the rest of the day at the parlor. He was nervous at first, but he eventually started to relax. He even started to enjoy the pampering. The parlor lady gave him a manicure, pedicure, and facial. She also styled his hair.
By the end of the day, Jitin looked and felt completely transformed. He felt like a real girl. He was excited to go home and show his mother his new look.
When Jitin arrived home, his mother was overjoyed to see his transformation. She hugged him tightly and told him how beautiful he looked. Jitin's father was still away, so he didn't have to worry about being seen by him.
The next morning, Jitin's mother woke him up early and told him to take a bath. After Jitin had finished bathing, his mother called him into her room. When Jitin entered the room, his mother gave him a bra and told him to stand up straight. His mother then put the bra on him.
Jitin asked, "Mom, what is this?"
His mother replied, "We're going to the temple, and over there, women come with their daughters, so you will go as my daughter."
Jitin's mother helped him get dressed in a beautiful saree. She also did his hair and makeup. Jitin looked at himself in the mirror and was surprised to see how much like a girl he looked.
Jitin and his mother went to the temple together. Jitin was nervous at first, but he soon realized that no one was paying any attention to him. Everyone was too busy praying and worshipping the gods.
Jitin and his mother went around the temple and visited all the shrines. Jitin felt very happy and peaceful.
After the temple, Jitin's mother took him to the market. Jitin was behaving exactly like her daughter. In the market, his mother bought him bangles, anklets, and earrings. Some boys in the market started looking at Jitin and making comments like, "Wow, what a beauty!"
Jitin was a little embarrassed.
Jitin told his mother, "Mom, those boys are making comments about me."
His mother replied, "So let them. You're a beautiful girl, and boys make comments about girls. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Just keep behaving like a girl."
