Raven and The Dragon(short)

Cri Yumiko was an odd individual. An heir to a criminal organization training to be a huntsman was an odd sight to behold or what is it? His father Xeno Yumiko had recently married an odd character by the name of raven branwen. Cri knew exactly what it was, he knew there was no love between them it was just a marriage to unite raven's bandit tribe and The Crimson Dragon. He had visited during his father's compound during his break for the first semester. His brother Aqua decided to go with his friend Pyrrha to Argus but had planned a visit soon. Cri spent his time hunting with the older members of the tribe but even as heir he knew he had lost all respect from them. He felt out of place especially with other bandits from the branwen tribe lurking around. This also brought up a point that cri hadn't thought of at first. He didn't trust raven at all, he knew this was for power and status but he never thought of what would happen if his father was to bite the bullet. Putting thought into it, he realized that raven would take over the crimson dragon. He cursed himself mentally and prayed that didn't happen. Now, he found himself sitting by the river bank tossing stones into the water. He heard footsteps behind him and he turned around to see one of raven's men.

Bandit: Raven wants to speak to you

Cri continues to look into the water.

Bandit: did you hear me?

Cri turns around and glares at him

Cri: What does she want?

Bandit: all I was told is that she needs to have a word with you.

Cri rolls his eyes and gets up, he brushes his shoulder against the bandit and walks into the woods towards their settlement. Once there he looks around the camp noticing the abundance of bandits today. He walked towards the tent raven was staying in. He opens the flap and enters. Raven sits on her chair with her weapon on the table. The two glare at each other and she extends her hand signaling at the chair across. Cri removes his sheathe from his waste and puts it on the table making eye contact with her as he sits down.

Raven: Cri was it?

Cri nods not saying a word simply eyeing her.

Cri: Just tell me why I'm here right now.

Raven: Now Now, that's no way to talk to your father's wife, now is it?

She says jokingly as she smirks. Cri scowls but doesn't break eye contact.

Raven: I wanted to know if you knew an individual during your time at beacon academy.

Cri: Yang?

Raven seems a bit surprised but she doesn't make an expression.

Raven: How did you know?

Cri: I see the similarities, it appears that she got her hair from her father.

Raven nods.

Raven: now tell me, how's my daughter. My brother only tells me so much.

Cri rolls his eyes, he seems a bit hesitant but he mostly seems bitter towards her considering the fact she abandoned yang and expects him to go into yang's personal life, but he does so known the less.

Cri: Well, she got married to a guy she's been eyeing since the first day of school.

Raven furrows an eyebrow and simply looks at him with a concerned face.

Cri: It was drunken accident. None the less she's happy.

Raven rolls her eyes and scoffs.

Raven: So drinking is one of the plenty idiotic ideas that she picked up from my brother.

Cri scoffs.

Cri: atleast her little accidental marriage has more love than her mother's pettiful attempt at gaining more power.

Raven Chuckles.

Raven: you don't know much about how the cycle of power goes do you.

Cri gives her a glare and begins to get up from his chair grabbing his weapon from the table.

Cri: I really don't but I refuse to learn it from you.

Cri goes to walk away but stops and turns to raven

Cri: if you ever lays your hands on my father to take over this clan I will kill you and find hundreds of ravens kill them and attach their feathers on your corpse than hang on a tree with a big sign that reads "those who tried"

The air shifts and grows thick. Cri's voice was cold and expressionless. Raven wasn't scared but she knew he would forfill his promise if it came to it. She gave him a smug look to play it off. Cri stormed out. He walked away from the compound and made his way to the river. He sat the river bank and he heard a bird call. He looked up at a tree and sees a raven. Cri glares at it before grabbing his swords sheathe and points it at the bird activating the firing mechanism. The bird flys away causing the bullet to hit the tree. Cri looks back at the water and looks at his reflection. He sighs and looks back up to the sky.

Cri: (I wonder what the others are doing right now).
