I'm bored so I'm gonna explain the plot of the scrapped book that these characters come from.

Alright, the story starts out around the age of the samurai, a group of samurai master material arts technique that channels the energy of themselves and the universe basically this universe's power source. This group of samurai would show other people how to use it, this group of samurai would be early ancestors of the crimson dragon. The knowledge and art of this would pass through generations until the middle ages where this power (which I never gave it a name fully) was basically the explanation for witches, wizards sorcerers and stuff but they were rare which was why there were myths and such. So King Arthur, yes that king Arthur would become king because he was a user of this magic and that helped him pull Excalibur out of the stone and begin to rule his kingdom. Anyway king Arthur would create the Knights of the round table and would create a series of weapons for each one of his knights and those weapons would channel the abilities of each of the knights helping them unlock their spiritual energy. King Arthur would also have a child that would bear the name strand which would become a surname bringing Allen Strand and his family as descendants of king Arthur. Flash forward a few centuries we get to the 22 century around 2097, World War 3 happens and afterwards the u.s is considered weak and their military artillery is completely outdated compared to other countries. So they turn to a doctor by the name of Arthur who is also a descendant of king Arthur and they ask him to research his ancient family history to manage to make this spiritual abilities some sort of weapon and this leads him into creating a new group of mutants that are completely random people but this fails. So he decides to track down descendants of the knights of the round table and uses them and it works, they become powerful soldiers and become a special task force, so a few decades go by and we land on the sixth generation of these mutants which is where our characters are introduced. The part consists of Keith fitting into the role of leader, all the characters are a part of this task force except aqua and cri. Anyway Keith proves himself as a worthy leader and is gifted a modern reaction of Excalibur made from metals of the real Excalibur and enforced with the spirit of king arthur. Cri's role was supposed to be his own little book but since this was all scrapped it doesn't matter. Basically cri is a stubborn little criminal that lives with his mom and two younger siblings in the lowest levels of the cyberpunk type cities in which this story takes place. Cri wants to be indirectly like his father which he believes abandoned his family (News flash he didn't). So anyway Cri gets into trouble with a big crime syndicate that are actually the big bad of this entire story. Cri gets into debt with them and gets chased by their two best warriors that are like two swordmen brothers. He gets saved by aqua that also has it out for them for killing his father and the two team up to pull off a grand heist to pay back cri's debt. After the heist Cri and Aqua are chased by the syndicate and they are saved by Xeno Yumiko, cri hates his father at first but as the truth gets revealed he warms up to him and becomes his apprentice and it's also revealed that those two swordsmen from the syndicate are Cri's kidnapped, brainwashed older brothers and Xeno also reveals who the syndicate really are, basically they worship a dark shadow demon god and have this whole secret society that worship him and wish to bring him to the realm of the living and that one of the two swordsmen have a seal that will channel the demon god's energy until it possesses the host's body. Xeno and Cri manage to unbrainwash one of his brothers but the other one is finally channeling the demon's god power. Anyway their story ends with cri becoming the second in command in the crimson dragon. Back to the main storyline, someone tries making the unit look bad in the eyes of the public eventually they find out that someone in their ranks is a traitor that works with the syndicate. First the traitor takes over their a.i robot friend and soon they manage to set up a "terrorist" attack to make them look like they planned the terrorist to make themselves look better and the syndicates plan works which causing Keith's unit to be disbanded but Keith now knows that the syndicate have big plans now that the government has outlawed the whole "mutant soldier" thing so now their trying to assassinate all the mutants in the United States including our faithful heroes, while trying to figure out what the fuck to do, Keith basically loses a fight to one of the syndicates twin swordmen and ends up losing his arm and an eye(will happen in this book minus the next part) then a shadow demon bonds with him and they become like a venom type character at first where the demon tries to control him at first but soon the demon sees him as a perfect host and replaces his arm and eye, so basically his left side just looks like a misty version of black zetsu from naruto.Keith ends up saving cri and they make an alliance to help them get to Europe. Europe in this universe is corrupted Continent most of the countries are ruled by the rich and powerful. Anyways they end up in Spain and basically have nothing so they need to find away to make some money without sticking out which they find a guy who knows a guy that can give them money if they do some jobs for them but guess who it is Allen Strand. Keith begins to think strands gonna fuck them over so they get into a fight and strand lets himself fall off a tall building. They end up moving North and go to Paris then they realize the syndicate is present there and they're planning to ally with the corrupted governments to start world war 4, so they take it upon themselves to stop this from happening but guess who's back Allen strand did not die. He begins to show off his sheer power and influence he has and eventually puts our group so far into a corner that Keith stepped up to kill him and ends up infecting Strand's arm with like some sort of shadowy infection that consumes his arm. Strand manages to escape and gets his arm cutoff but strand gets a change of heart, kills all the arrowheads and goes to the syndicate meeting in a government building to interrupt it and he just blows it up. He eventually finds his way to Keith and his friends and just joins them but it takes a bit for them to trust him. Anyway they need to escape Europe and they end up deciding go to Japan where the Crimson Dragon central like base is located in but their hesitant because of the U.S naval base but they brush it off and go. Once there they find info on a syndicate base and take it upon themselves by this point I realized that I was starting to lose interest in this book and I wanted to do some crazy shit so I decided to have a point in the book where I could easily retcon, so I did. The next part sees Keith and everyone pulling up to this syndicate base which is just a laboratory and Their A.i friend from awhile ago comes back as some sort of evil hive mind and traps Keith in a machine that extracts his powers and basically creates a sub-pocket universe that acts as a bridge to other universes and the a.i splits the group up into these universes and Keith's just trapped in the machine as the a.i tries to build an Ultron type suit and steal Keith's powers. This is the point where it got crazy, all the members of Keith's team go into their own little adventures and they end up finding a way out back "the bridge" and fight a.i from the inside and they manage to get out but reality is collapsing on itself causing everything and anything to come through to their universe and they go to war with them and the demon that the syndicate are trying to bring back finally manages to get through and their whole war thing and I said "this is fucking ridiculous" so I retconed the part where they get trapped in that digital universe, when I tried to rewrite it I made it that the events after that whole part did happen but only to Keith and that was his little adventure during the whole reality thing, but what actually happened was that everyone managed to get out except strand. Several years pasted and the syndicate basically takes over some parts of the world. Everyone is separated and Keith's still dorment in the machine. So in this rewrite I decided to focus more on the ancient weapons of the knights of the round table, a new character is introduced named Isaac and he wields one of the ancient weapons. He's on the quest to find the rest of the weapons and give them to a worthy candidate. Soon he finds Keith with Excalibur, we get a flashback to see that Keith woke up fucking confused and realized several years has passed and the cities in Japan are now fucking ghosts towns but they've reverted back to living in valleys and stuff, he decides to start scavenging for supplies to repair the computers in the lab and he does, once he turns them on he finds out friends escaped except strand so he lets him out, but strand teleports somewhere else in the world and Keith goes out to find him eventually leaving Japan and going to Spain, that's where he meets Isaac. Keith tells Issac that strand is a descendant of king Arthur and they need him, so they track him down. Soon they hear word of a the ancient trident and they decided to follow the rumors. So basically all the main characters have their own little storyline that links to weapon, either they wield a weapon or they help someone else get the weapon and develop a bond with them. Trent kills this guy with a Trident because Trent isn't a comic relief character and i decided that I wanted to change Trent so what better way to do so than giving him some development through the last few years. Trent kills the guy by using his super speed to run across the world in the fraction of a second and split the guy right down the middle with his sword. He gets the trident and a few week after Issac pulls up like Nick fury and asks him "want to join a team" and Issac also tells him strand and Keith are alive. The next storyline is Rick. Rick is basically a cowboy bounty hunter in the wild West of California. Soon he meets a girl that's searching for a weapon that's been in their family for generations, so Rick helps her but she doesn't want to, but they warm up to each other eventually, they get the weapon back, start a relationship, get married and have kids taking place between the several years of Keith's coma. So a mysterious figure arrives on their ranch and Rick goes to confront it revealing it to be Trent asking them to join a team. The one that follows shows Commando and Six going on a mission with this kid who has one of the ancient weapons to take out a syndicate government ruling over a small country and they succeed and Trent goes to ask them to join the team as well. After this the next storyline is Cy and Dj who are now going back to pulling off heist and eventually this killed with a cool weapon pulls up and ask them to teach him and Dj wants to but Cy doesn't. Eventually during a heist, Dj gets his fucking brains blown out and Cy decides to go on a revenge plot taking the young kid under his wing. They get their revenge and while visiting DJ's grave, commando pulls up and asks him and his apprentice to join back with everyone. The following storyline follows Alaska who's now a badass winter soldier type character that hijacks syndicate trains and takes their supplies. He has a high tech arsenal and is skilled in different styles of combat. He eventually hijacks a train where a some kid is trapped in, he begs for help but Alaska doesn't want to help but the kid tells him about an ancient weapon that he has and Alaska assumes it Keith's Excalibur but it isn't but he remembers there was more than one ancient weapon so he helps the kid and they go on an adventure to take him home and afterwards Keith arrives telling him that they have a plan to fight the syndicate. The next one is cri's story and he justs hunts down syndicate bases and ends up saving a city from their rule and ends up wielding one of the weapons, Keith also comes by and asks him to come back with him. The last one follows Adam and how he got trapped by the syndicate and how he escaped after finding an ancient weapon by the end of it he follows a rumor of a team building up with wielders of the ancient weapons, so he blindly follows and find his friends. This is where I stopped cause I didn't know what direction to take with this story. It wasn't about there not being one but the fact there was too many to choose from so I just scrapped the idea, maybe one day though.
