Round One

A/n: Welcome ladies and gentlemen it's wattpad's official Negan coming at you with the first chapter of RWBY volume 3.

The year had come and gone, Autumn had taken the life of the plants and turned into a beauty shades of orange, yellow and brown. Ruby Rose had taken her boyfriend Keith Marksman to Patch for the weekend and before they left Ruby had one final thing to do. She took him to the cliffside where a lone tombstone laid with the name of Ruby's mother Summer Rose ingraved into it, slightly below her name was the name of another lost huntsman Onyx Garnet, little did ruby know that Onyx was her father, not only that but he was also keith's past incarnation. Ruby stood over her mothers grave with Keith standing not to far behind her leaning against a tree. He watched as his girlfriend took her hood off and spoke to her mother.

Ruby: Hey Mom! sorry i haven't come by in awhile, Things have been....well uh things have been pretty busy. Oh! Dad's here too...he's you know..."Dad"

She smiles awkwardly

Ruby: He's still teaching at Signal but he told me that he's going to be going out on some missions soon...i think he misses adventuring with you....i miss you too

Ruby stays silent for a few seconds, she tries to raise her own spirits by changing the topic.

Ruby: haven't gotten kicked out of beacon yet! So...that's cool, i think being on a team with yang helps, I keep her in line! Uh...that was joke, she's actually a really great fighter and you can tell she learns alot by dad...oh! and she got married too! To a guy named Coda, he's pretty cool and well i got a boyfriend too...yeah, surprising right? i didn't think i needed one until i met him. He's actually here with me right now! Dad seems to like him, i'm sure you would have loved him! Together me and him have made some great friends, Like Weiss and Blake, their my teammates they're amazing people, together we make Team Rwby! and yes before you ask that does cause alot of confusion....but all and all i think my team at beacon has been the best year of my life, we've stopped bad guys quite a few times, it's just like they say "like mother like daughter". I'm still wondering why ozpin let me in the school early, eh i'm sure he'll tell me one day, the more i get to know him the more he sounds like uncle qrow.

Ruby hears a dog bark and she turns around to see her father and zwei standing next to Keith.

Ruby: looks like dad's back, i gotta go. He's dropping me off at beacon for the tournament match before he goes off to his next mission. Wish me luck!

Ruby goes to run off but she looks down at her mom's gravestone once more.

Ruby: it was nice to talk

Ruby runs over to her dad and boyfriend

In the grand stadium known as Amity Colosseum Team RWBY is up against Team ABRN of haven academy with the battlefields terrains being Ice glacier and Volcano. Team Rwby was engaged in a brawl while Dr.Oobleck and Professor Port commentated.

Port: oh ho, it seems that we have another astonishing bount ahead of us! Wouldn't you agree professor.

Professor Port turns to his co-host who simply adjusts his glasses while scowling slightly.

Dr.Oobleck: Doctor, and yes peter i think it's safe to say this match might be one of the closes we've had in the 4 and 4 rounds second to the match fought by Team Task earlier today.

Professor Port turns to the camera
