A Minor Hiccup

Weiss sits bored at her desk in professor Port's counting the seconds before the bell rings. His annoying self center lectures turn into a mix of gibberish as Weiss puts her hand to her cheek as stares at the clock. Jaune slides over next to her who she simply ignores.

Jaune: you know weiss, I was thinking after this maybe we can go grab a bite to eat....and uh I...I've got two tickets to that new spruce willis movie if you wanna make the trip to vale, I hear it's awesome.....and then maybe after that we could study together? I mean you're smart and I'm...you know?

Weiss Completely ignores him as the bell rings. Professor Port is broken out of his self centered speech and dismisses his students. Jaune continues his efforts on trying to get Weiss to go out with him.

Jaune: Weiss, did you hear me?

Weiss gets up and walks past jaune as she answers him.

Weiss: No,No,No,Yes

Coda walks by patting the back of a now dejected jaune.

Coda: take a hint, little bro.

Jaune sighs and bangs his head on the desk.

Yang also pats his back.

Yang: one day.

She says walking with the rest of the students.

*Later*

Adam, Alaska, Coda and Keith wait outside of team RWBY's dorm letting them gear up for their investigation. Coda turns to the guys.

Coda: you think it was a good idea not telling our teams.

Keith: well it is half of each team so it shouldn't exactly matter... actually come to think of it. Ruby's my girlfriend, Yang's your wife, so I get why we're here but what about you two?

Keith furrows an eyebrow as he points the others.

Coda: Isn't it obvious? Alaska likes Weiss and Adam likes Blake.

Alaska wants to say something but bites his tongue and Arms just rolls his eyes.

Adam: Blake's my friend even if she wasn't I still would put my part in trying to figure out what exactly is going on here in vale.

Alaska: as for me Weiss has been my best friend for years. It's only fair that I help her when it's needed especially when our family's companies have been involved

Coda: Isn't denial grand?

He says in a mocking tone as every rolls their eyes. Ruby opens the door for the guys. They enter with their gear prepared as they blush at the sight of their respective crushes/partners.

Blake: I thought that class would never end

Coda: it didn't this is day dream.

He says sarcastically calibrating his gauntlets. Ruby sits on her bed looking down at the others.

Ruby: alright guys, today's the day the investigation begins!

She jumps off the bed landing firmly on the ground. Weiss ducks back rolling her eyes and she goes back to sitting.

Weiss: I'm glad we're taking this so seriously.

Yang looks down from her bunk.

Yang: hey, we got a plan that's.....moderately serious

Ruby: right, does everyone remember their roles?

Weiss: You, William, Keith and I will head to the cct to check the schnee and Barnes records for any dust or weapons robberies, or any inconsistencies, seeing that we're both in their families it shouldn't be a problem.
