RWBY: Dead Island (teaser)

Months before Volume 3 Episode 1....

Ozpin had called upon Team Rwby, Team Task and Team Arcc to come up to his office for an important mission. Once they arrived, Ozpin had a serious look on his face and seemed to be a bit on edge.

Ozpin: Thank you for coming students....i know this was under short notice and all the teams are getting ready for the Vytal festival but i need your help.

Keith: What is it sir?

Ozpin activates a projection that shows a hologram of an island resort.

Ozpin: This is Sunny Palms island resort, as you may know due to it's high ratings and various iconic tourist attractions that this resort is a large part of the kingdom of vale's economy and therefore has high levels of security from huntsman and other kingdom's military. Are you with me so far?

The students nods as Ozpin manipulates the projection to show the names of various huntsmen and huntresses on duty at the island showing all of their statuses as unknown or some outright marking them as "M.I.A"

Ozpin: The reason i have called you all here is because in recent weeks, more and more huntsman have gone missing and other kingdom's security teams have lost contact with their troops stationed on the island. All contact with the island's staff has been shutdown as well with only cryptic or inaudible messages comings through, but using the atlas military's technology, we were able to decipher one of the messages and what we saw was absolutely terrifying.

Ozpin shows the message revealing it to be a video feed of an unnamed huntsman.

Huntsman: We need reinforcement's the island has been invaded by Grimm- Their different, I've seen nothing like these before....They just came out of no where and it just....It started spreading.....The Grimm bit a few people and they all went crazy....Turning people into these weird Grimm like hybrids...Like zombies that you see in movies....It's bad.....Really fucking bad...Communications are down and the powers going out, me and other huntsman are trying to get people to the north side of the island in hopes to keep them away from the infected...

The sound of banging is heard coming from off screen, The huntsman is visible scared and grabs his weapon, the banging gets louder with groans being heard. A crash is heard and the growls and moans get louder as the huntsman starts firing his weapon. The camera gets knocked over revealing to the students the horrid new grimm zombies that begin overwhelming the huntsman slowing ripping him apart as he screens in pain. Ozpin turns off the recording and looks visibly upset.

Ozpin: I'm aware that you are all first years students but your skills shown at the breach two months ago shows me that you are more than capable to assist on the mission to clear this island and bring back the civilians. You will be accompanied by several huntsmen and Atlas personal. Now I'm not forcing you students to take part on this mission but you choose to partake in it, I'm sure it'll be a very impressive mission to have under your belt when you all graduate.

The students murmur amongst themselves and they all get silent after a few minutes. Adam, Keith and Ruby step forward with determined looks on their faces.

Keith/Adam/Ruby: We'll do it!!!

A/n: Zombie stories are my passion and i just wanted to implement them into these characters. i'll finish everything else first but when that's all said and done, i'll be working on this book so stay tuned
