Lessons learned

Keith watched on his scroll the fight between Emerald's team and Coco's team in the doubles round, he had been tasked with fixing up some stuff for ozpin, which would have him busy during the period where all the fights would take place. He finished up some work and decided to take a break from working and decided to watch the current broadcast. After a shocking turn of events Emerald and Mercury got the upper hand of Coco and Yatsuhashi, earning victory for the team from haven academy. Keith was shocked, Coco's team were only second years but were some of the best that beacon had to offer, Mercury and Emerald weren't exactly weak but they weren't at the top of their game when they would fight, that was one thing Keith noticed when he had sparred with mercury earlier this year. The thing that was the most concerning was that if Mercury and Emerald were holding back something, what was it? Better yet how big was it? What ever it may be, it meant more work for him and more fuel to the fire for Ozpin's worries and even worse it fed into the downward spiral that ironwood's seize for power to take their mission into his own hands and ruin the status quo that has keep them safe for so long. Something big was coming and the tension was starting to release it's self slowly. It was too much for Keith but he couldn't step down from his responsibilities. He brushed it all off as something to keep in mind and he continued to sort out some paperwork he was working on.

*Garden*

Weiss and Winter sat together in a secluded garden in beacon academy. They're conversation was more toned down and less rushed now that they had some downtime after the meeting with ironwood.

Weiss: Wait your leaving!?

Winter: yes, I was merely needed to oversee the transport of additional units to vale. Our last shipment was lost to an ambush, I believe you had a run in with it's cargo actually....it's fortunate that those paladins were still in their prototype stage otherwise your friends may not have faired so well.

Winter grabs her sister's hand and looks her in the eyes.

Winter: Weiss you have done...well..out here on your own, you should be proud. I'll be honest it was quite amusing seeing father's face the day you left for beacon.

Weiss crosses her arms proudly

Weiss: I can't wait to show him what I've learned.

Winter: Oh? And what do you think you've learned?

Weiss: what do you mean? I've got better with my glyphs I even started to learn time dilations.

Winter: and what of your summoning?

Weiss turns her head disappointed in herself not being able to look at her sister in her face.

Weiss: I...you know I can't

Winter: don't be ridiculous , every schnee has the ability to summon, we have for generations.

Weiss: I've tried but it's just the ONE thing I'm having trouble with.

Winter: We Schnee's are unique, unlike many our semblance is hereditary but that doesn't mean it will come easily. Your semblance is like a muscle, the more you practice with it, the stronger it will become.

Winter lifts up her hand and summons a tiny glyph at her finger tips and it begins to glow white

Winter: but if you only focus on one aspect of it, if you fail to focus on the limits of what you think is possible-

Winter's glyph grows bigger and eventually fades into a white bright light as a white misty beowolf appears standing behind her. She pets the summoned Grimm as she looks back at her little sister.

Winter: -Then you'll never truly grow...

*Team RWBY's dorm*

Qrow and Ruby were playing a fighting game in team RWBY's dorm. Keith and Coda were also present but Coda was sleeping on Yang's bed and Keith was watching ruby play while sharpening his blade.
