Alone Together

The previous night was a rollercoaster, the gang had dinner together and caught up after being away from each other for so long. Now in the early morning Ruby and Keith were out on the balcony, Ruby was laying on her back with her hands under her head looking up at the sky, Keith sat next to ruby on the ground looking up as well. He would look down to glance at ruby from time to time and he would smile softly every time he saw her.

Coda: You two are up early

They both looked over seeing Yang and Coda walking out of the house with smiles on their faces.

Ruby: Hey guys!

Ruby sat up watching as her sister and brother in law sitting down on the ground next to her

Ruby: What are you guys doing awake?

Yang: Well we decided to get some morning are

Coda: She's lying... She smacked me so hard in her sleep that i woke up and I pushed her off the bed

Keith: Sounds about right, must mean you two are exhausted

Coda: Isn't everyone?

Weiss: Well fortunately coffee exists

Everyone turns around and sees weiss walking over with a tray holding five coffees and a bright smile. She hands yang and coda a mug and she places Keith's on the floor so he can grab it easier and she goes over to ruby who makes an "X" with her hands

Ruby: No please!

Weiss: Don't worry i put a blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar just for you

Ruby: Oh yeah, nice weiss strikes again!

Weiss pulls holds the cup over ruby's head

Weiss: I will pour this on you and it will burn

Keith: Chill out weiss, it's nice seeing you in a way that isn't well how do i say this?

Coda: I think he means that it's nice seeing you when your not bitchy

Weiss splashes Ruby's coffee on coda and he screams out

Coda: Hey what the fuck!

Everyone starts to laugh while Coda tries to clean up his clothes and wipe the hot coffee off his face.

Weiss: I'll go make you another cup ruby

Ruby: No it's fine, how about we all just sit here and enjoy what's left of the sunrise

Coda: You guys do that, i'm gonna go get changed

Coda gets up and heads into the house, everyone else laughs before they fall silent

Yang: I can't believe we made it to mistral

Ruby: That's what you can't believe?

Yang: Well yeah, and all the magic and stuff... Okay you know what i mean!

Weiss: I honestly thought i would never see all of you again

Yang: Well here's to defying expectations

Ruby drinks her coffee while Weiss, Yang and Keith share a toast, Ruby's face falters for a second.

Ruby: I just wish blake could be here with us...

Yang: Yeah well she made her choice...

Ruby and Weiss look at each other while keith stares at here in concern

Ruby: What do you mean by that?

Yang: I mean that she could be here with us if she had stuck around but it's no big deal thought, we'll be fine.
