General ironwood stands on the edge of Beacon's Academy grounds watching over the lake that distances the academy from Vale. He hears footsteps behind him and doesn't mind them knowing that they were that of Glynda.

Glynda: Trouble sleeping?

Ironwood looks back at her and puts his hand on his left shoulder.

Ironwood: arm was acting up

Glynda: oh of course so logically you got out of bed and dressed yourself completely and decided to gaze menacingly out into the distance.... what's wrong?

Ironwood looks back out to the kingdom's skyline

Ironwood: I've trusted them for years, we both have...I just feel that he's keeping us in the dark.

Glynda: Don't be ridiculous, you know that we're not the ones in the dark.

Ironwood: that makes it worse, I refuse to believe that two men I've trusted for so long would act so passively.

Glynda: Your Good man james, you've always done what's best for the people even against strong protest...it's admirable but you've got to understand that My son-...Keith is just following orders to protect Ozpin and everyone else and he won't attack unless it's ordered by Ozpin. As for him, He has experience that the rest of us lack and that's something worth remembering.

Ironwood: I feel bad for Keith, He's still inexperienced but he has the potential to surpass all of us, even his predecessors. He just needs to start to fight for himself and he can do great things.

Glynda: Do you want him to fight for yourself or fight for you?

Ironwood: I...

Ironwood falls silent and continues to gaze out into the city as Glynda walks away hurt but ironwood and his desire to turn Keith into his tool.

Glynda: Just when I thought you've learned.

*Mountain Glenn*

Ruby looks through crescent rose's scope to look at a beowolf down in the street. She continues to look around frustrated that she can't find anything to help their investigation, Meanwhile her friends and teammates are struggling to sleep.

Yang: Blake, are you awake?

Blake continues to lay down with her eyes closed but shows signs of life.

Blake: Yeah

Yang: why do you think he asked us about being a huntress, like what was he trying to say.

Blake: Maybe he was just serious.

Yang flips to her side and looks at Blake.

Yang: you think?

Blake shakes her head

Blake: no

Yang lays on her back and looks up at the ceiling.

Yang: Weiss are you awake?

Weiss: Of course I'm awake you too are talking!

Yang flinches slightly.

Weiss: and I think he...when I said I wanted to honor my families name I meant it, but it's not what you think. I'm not stupid, I'm fully aware what my father has done with the schnee dust company. Since he took control, our business has operating in a moral grey area.

Blake: that's putting it lightly.

Weiss leans up and gives Blake an annoyed look before continuing.

Weiss: Which is why I feel the need to make things right, if I took a job it wouldn't have changed anything, my father was not the start of our name and I refuse to let him be the end of it.
