When Rong Shi ascended the stairs and turned on the light in her bedroom, she glanced out of the window and was surprised to find Jiang Chengming's car still parked outside. He was leaning against her car, smoking a cigarette. As he took the first puff and exhaled it like a sigh, the smoke enveloped him, making it hard for Rong Shi to discern his expression.

Perhaps sensing Rong Shi's gaze, Jiang Chengming looked up directly, met her eyes, and smiled. It seemed he noticed she had safely returned home. He casually threw the barely smoked cigarette into a nearby trash bin, waved at her, and drove away.

Watching Jiang Chengming's car gradually disappear, Rong Shi's waving gesture slowed down, her smile fading. She raised an eyebrow, took a couple of steps back, turned off the light, and leaned back, closing her eyes to rest. Just then, a call from Su Lili interrupted her.

"Xiaoyi, Xiaoyi, let me tell you something. I never expected that the underling of General Jiang used to be a soldier, hehe. I really like soldiers, strong and healthy, with a good personality. Well, I know marrying someone like me would harm them, but it doesn't stop me from being happy. How about you and General Jiang? Is he extraordinarily gentle and handsome? Have you two... hehe!"

Rong Shi had never imagined Su Lili's voice could sound so lecherous. After managing to respond to her in a somewhat speechless manner, Rong Shi headed downstairs.

She and Jiang Cheng had not seen each other for several days. She left early and returned late, and he often came back even later, sometimes not returning to the villa at all. One night, in a half-dreaming state, she overheard Jiang Cheng happily making plans over the phone to go somewhere and eat something with someone, probably Lin Yirou. Rong Shi guessed this, given the circumstances.

It seemed like they were getting along quite well. Rong Shi had no intention of letting them continue like this, so tonight, she planned to go back and assert her presence.

Was this what people called fate? When Rong Shi returned to the villa, barely settled down with a glass of water, the door was pushed open. Jiang Cheng was there, wearing a smiling face.

Lifting the glass, Rong Shi coincidentally met his gaze. Startled, she almost choked on her water. She quickly put down the glass.

"You're back... You're back?" Her tone initially held inexplicable joy, but then she seemed to realize something, and her voice immediately turned flat. "Why are you back now?"

Frowning, Jiang Cheng changed his shoes and walked in. "I... Can't I come back? Didn't you ask me to stay here?"

A strange resentment flashed across Rong Shi's face. She clenched her fists, then sneered, "Or are you afraid that someone will see me, and they might misunderstand you? Oh, it's not even a misunderstanding. Originally, the two of us were involved in this kind of scandalous relationship..."

"Enough!" Jiang Cheng couldn't stand Rong Shi's current sarcastic tone. He lifted his head, looked directly at her, and smiled. "Why don't you go and seduce my brother, or climb into my bed? What else do you want? What else do you want..."

With that, Jiang Cheng suddenly stopped talking. He walked a few steps closer, reached for Rong Shi's chin, and asked, "What happened to your lips?"

At his words, Rong Shi first froze, then a bewildered expression appeared on her face, as if recalling something.

However, this seemingly absent-minded appearance ignited a burst of anger in Jiang Cheng's heart. The wound was definitely caused by hitting something, but how did it end up on the lips, such a hidden place? What was Rong Shi thinking?
