Seeing Rong Yi like this, Jiang Chengming immediately furrowed his brows. He had anticipated that Rong Yi probably wouldn't enjoy opera like Yi Rou did, and might even find it boring. However, he never thought she would just fall asleep directly. This seemed quite impolite...

With these thoughts, Jiang Chengming suddenly heard applause from the surrounding people. What surprised him was that even Rong Yi, who was sound asleep, seemed to know something. She started clapping too, nodding along with a few approving gestures and a couple of "hmms," as if she was expressing agreement.

Jiang Chengming found it quite peculiar. Afterward, he chuckled and started paying attention to Rong Yi's reactions. He noticed that she continued clapping while half asleep, presenting a perfect facade.

Whether it was because the soprano's voice was too sharp or her sleeping position was uncomfortable, Rong Yi let out a couple of soft moans and slowly opened her eyes. Perhaps realizing she had dozed off, she immediately sat up in a fluster. She stole a glance at Jiang Chengming and, seeing him fully immersed in the opera, she relaxed.

Adjusting her posture, she widened her eyes and focused on trying to understand the intricate and beautiful details of the performance. However, as she struggled to concentrate on the incomprehensible singing and storyline, she found herself getting drowsy again.

Her little head bobbed up and down, and her wide-open eyes gradually became hazy. Pretending to be fully engrossed, she kept clapping while occasionally drifting into a daze.

Watching Rong Yi in her half-asleep state, Jiang Chengming couldn't help but find it amusing. It seemed he was asking too much of her. Rong Yi was different from Yi Rou, and she was genuinely making an effort to appreciate the opera, but...

Forget it!

Jiang Chengming watched as Rong Yi, seemingly in a dreamy state, continued clapping while half asleep. Her eyes were drooping, and she appeared to be completely absorbed in the opera. Amused, he let out a light laugh and started paying attention to her reactions.

Later, whether it was because the high-pitched voice of the soprano was too piercing or Rong Yi's sleeping position was uncomfortable, she whimpered a couple of times and slowly opened her eyes. Perhaps realizing she had fallen asleep, she immediately sat up in a panic. Then, stealing a glance at Jiang Chengming and seeing him still fully engaged in the opera, she relaxed.

After adjusting her posture, she widened her eyes, trying hard to listen to the incomprehensible melodies and follow the unintelligible plot. She even attempted to focus her mind on the intricate and beautiful details, but as she continued watching, she started to become drowsy again.

Her little head bobbed slowly, and her wide-open eyes began to cloud over. Pretending to be fully concentrated on the stage, she appeared to be in a perfect state of nonchalance.

Suddenly, Jiang Chengming felt a slight tightness around his waist. Rong Yi had reached out and hugged him, and just as he was wondering how to react, she unexpectedly let go. Sighing, she said, "It was quite dangerous just now..."

Then, she quickly glanced at Jiang Chengming, who was smiling knowingly, blushing, and turned her head away. After waiting for quite a while without hearing anything from Jiang Chengming, she cleared her throat lightly. "Let's... let's go back! It's already late... I should go home..."

"Hmm? Alright..."

Jiang Chengming chuckled again, recalling the feeling of having Rong Yi tightly hugged in his arms. He had to admit, it wasn't a bad feeling.

But it was only not bad, nothing more!

"Hey, Chengyi, what are you looking at?"

Lin Yirou on the other side observed Jiang Chengyi sitting in the driver's seat, staring out of the car window in a daze, and couldn't help but find it amusing.

"Hmm? Oh... nothing. Just lost in thought while waiting at the red light!"

He smiled and replied, but his mind was in turmoil. Were those his brother and Rong Yi just now? It was hard to see clearly from a distance, but could it be that Rong Yi and his brother were really getting closer? What had their relationship developed into? Holding hands, kissing, or even more?

Suddenly, Jiang Chengyi felt a sense of panic in his heart. If not for Lin Yirou sitting beside him, he would have wanted to rush down and confirm.

"The light turned green a while ago, Chengyi. Why aren't you driving? What are you thinking about?"

"Ah? Oh... right, let's go!"

Jiang Chengyi, still staring in the direction where his brother and Rong Yi disappeared, found that the two were already gone. It was as if what he saw just now was a figment of his imagination.

Back at the villa, Jiang Chengyi looked at the dark living room, turned on the lights, and walked in with a furrowed brow. Rong Yi wasn't there, and he could tell just by looking.

So where was she now? With his brother? What was she doing with his brother? He knew his brother's feelings for Yirou were deeper and stronger than his own. If Rong Yi didn't climb into bed with photos, what else did she want to do with him? Toying with his emotions was ridiculous!

Without realizing it, Jiang Chengyi's frustration emerged. He took a few steps forward and grabbed Rong Yi's arm. As he pulled her closer, her tearful face shocked him, and his heart immediately sank.

"Jiang Chengyi, do you only feel satisfied when you humiliate me every day? I like you, I love you. Do I have to endure such humiliation just because of that?"

Hearing Rong Yi's tearful words, Jiang Chengyi unexpectedly felt a sense of joy in his heart. However, immediately after, Rong Yi forcefully pulled her arm from his grip and glared at him, "Rest assured, in a few days, I'll give you the photos. You don't have to remind me like a debt collector every day, Jiang Chengyi, you... make me sick!"

With that, she stormed into her room.

Left alone, Jiang Chengyi looked at his empty hand, feeling a sudden emptiness in his chest.

This shouldn't be the case; it shouldn't be...

But what should it be, he himself was a bit unclear. The past few days of interaction with Yirou made him realize that the person he had obsessed over for three years was just like that. Being with her didn't make him excited or particularly happy; instead, he often found himself lost in thoughts of Rong Yi, reminiscing about the happy times they had shared. He even frequently mistook strangers on the street for her, rushing over, only to find out they were completely unfamiliar...

So, what did he want exactly? Even he was a bit uncertain.

He liked Rong Yi a bit, but if he had to be with her, there was a lingering sense of reluctance in his heart...

A brat who hasn't grown up!

Back in her room, Rong Yi sneered and threw herself onto the bed, sinking into a deep sleep.
