Amara woke up on Liam's chest to him running his fingers through her hair. She felt so relaxed and at ease, not wanting to leave, but she knew she had to go home and most likely face the wrath of her angry parents at home for not returning last night.

"Mornin'." Liam greeted with a morning voice.

"Good morning. How long have you been awake for?"

"Not long, didn't wanna wake you though. Ya' looked so peaceful."

She smiled as she lifted her head up to kiss him before sitting up. He sat up too, his arm still wrapped around her as he didn't want her to leave.

"Sleep alright?" Liam asked her.

"Definitely. Pretty worn out after last night." She chuckled, stretching her arms for a moment and ran her fingers through her hair. Liam pulled her back into his chest, and she giggled softly. "I don't want this moment to end. Last night was.. perfect."

"Then don't go. Stay."

Amara sighed, sitting up to properly look at him. "My parents might be worried about where I am. I should get back home." Liam nodded understandingly, but he still pressed their lips together.

"I'll walk you home then." Liam told her as he watched her get changed in front of him.

"Liam I'm pretty sure I only live down the road." Amara chuckled, but he still insisted and got dressed too.

After saying goodbye to Liam with a kiss, Amara quietly entered her home. She couldn't hear the telly on or cluttering in the kitchen, so she assumed she was safe as she took off her shoes. She looked at the clock and saw that it was only 10am. Maybe her parents were getting something to eat?

"AMARA WATSON! WHO WAS THAT BOY? WHERE WERE YOU?!" Amara heard her dad yell from the living room. She mentally groaned, he must've seen them through the window. Her father marched over to her, his face red and angry. "Well?"

"I went to the Oasis gig yesterday! It's no big deal!" Amara snapped back before realising what she had just said. She had never spoken back to her dad like that before.

"Your mother and I were worried! And don't think I don't know about you and your 'mates' in my pub!" He continued with a raised voice, using air quotes with his fingers when mentioning my friends. "It's embarrassing, Amara, we've raised you better than this."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Amara quipped, crossing her arms in annoyance, but also to cover what she was wearing.

"Ever since you've been friends with that- that bunch you've changed completely. They're bad influences!" Her dad replied. "You're attitude is ridiculous. You've started to drink alcohol and god knows what else you'll take! You dress too provocatively for a girl your age and whatever you are doing with that boy will stop!"

"They're my mates!" Amara shouted at her dad, tears nearly in her eyes as her heart stung at the things he told her. "Why can't you be happy for me? For once, we live in a place that I actually like and fit in! God, are you trying to ruin my life!?"

"No, I'm trying to protect you Amara. From the bad crowd that you're slowly falling into." He replied sternly. "You're not allowed to see them anymore. Especially that boy. I heard what he did to your so called 'mate' the other week, and what his brother did yesterday to the same boy!"

"'Cause he fucking deserved it dad! Liam was doing it to protect me 'cause we care about each other!"

"What happened to your hand?" Her dad grabbed Amara's arm, holding up her bandaged hand. He unwrapped it forcefully, squeezing her wrist and hurting her. "Who did this to you? Was it Liam? Your 'friends'? Who?!"
