THE NEXT DAY.
Amara was finally allowed to leave the hospital and go home back to London with Liam with regular checks to a doctor for her overall health, but also for her twins.
Samantha had gotten her some spare clothes, thank god. The hospital goes were extremely unflattering.
The others, that being Noel, Meg, Anaïs etc were already on their way to the airport since it was about a forty five minute drive.
So, Amara and Liam were leaving the hospital, but only to be faced with her parents.
"Do you wanna leave the other way?" Liam muttered to her, noticing her parents in the distance.
Amara's hand nearly shook at the sight of her mum standing by her dad. "No."
"Amy, dear, thank goodness you're alright! We haven't had a chance to see you in your room because of hi-" Her mum, stood up exasperatedly towards her.
"I'm gonna stop you there before you let your mouth run off." Amara interrupted, squeezing Liam's hand next to her. "How fuckin' dare you? How do you have the nerve to show up here and stay, expectin' me to be happy that you're here, especially with him!" She spat, nodding to her dad, who was approaching.
Her mum looked at her husband, "She's clearly still unstable! She'd still be resting if it wasn't for him." She referred to Liam, the one who they've always disliked from the very beginning.
"Oh shut up, mother. Every time you speak you show your shitty parentin'. I have to admit, you both used to be nice to say the least, but ever since I said that I wanted to make a name for myself you've completely ditched me. And now look, tryin' to milk the situation now that I'm worth somethin'."
"You do not speak that way to your mother!" Her father raised his voice, most likely expecting her to cower like she used to do. But not anymore.
"I'll speak to you both however I bloody like, old man. I have no ties to you anymore."
"Amara Watson you'll do as you're told-" He stepped forward, shifting her mother as he glared down at Amara. Liam stepped forwards too, "And the fact that you're still with him says a lot about your self respect. He's messed with you long enough."
"Amara Gallagher, actually." Liam cockily smiled. Amara squeezed his hand with a grin of her own.
"Goodness, Amara!" Her mum looked appalled, "You surely don't wish a life for yourself with him, how selfish you've become! We did so much for you when you were younger and we didn't even receive a check or a simple invitation to one of your shows!"
Amara laughed sarcastically, "Are you bein' serious?! He went to prison for abuse, and you left me once I realised who my real family was! Just in case you've forgotten, neither of you are you in it. You're not my family anymore."
"Your father is a changed man-"
"That's fuckin' bullshit." Liam scoffed, "If money is what you shitheads want then here, take it," He got out his wallet and threw some cash at them, "But lemme tell you summat, your daughter is worth more than life itself to me, and if you think you've got a say in what she does anymore then you're dead wrong. I can't say I've been perfect recently, but I'll be damn bloody sure I'll protect her from people like you lot for as long as I fuckin' live."
"How selfish of you both." Her mum's face twisted in disgust, "I bet your other little friends used to help their parents."
"Yeah 'cause they didn't abuse and abandon their kids, instead they loved them."
