A FEW DAYS LATER.

Amara opened her eyes to see herself in an unknown environment. She looked down to see herself with needles in her. Once realisation set in, she felt herself panicking. She nearly died, god she was so scared. Where is she? Where's Adam? Where's Liam? Her chest heaved, eyes dotting around the room until a voice reassuringly shushed her.

"Hey, it's okay, you're safe now." It was Liam.

"Liam?" Amara croaked out, she tried to sit up, but it hurt too much. She looked down and saw a bandage on her stomach.

"You're gonna be alright. Fuck, I was so worried. You've been asleep for three days, I thought the bloody worst!"

Amara felt tears sting her eyes, "He-He was gonna kill me-"

Liam cupped her cheeks worriedly, "I'm so sorry, Mara. I should've kept you safe from him."

"It's not your fault Liam.. I should've said somethin'. First my dad, now Adam.. I thought he had changed." Amara had begun to quietly sob. Liam embraced her comfortingly. "W-Where is he? What did they do with him?"

"They took him away. We won't be seein' him for a long time." He pressed a kiss to her forehead, looking into her eyes. Amara squeezed his hand as tightly as she could, she didn't want him to leave. She realised just how much she still loved him.

"Everythin' hurts. I'm so stupid, why did I have to be with him?" Amara hated herself for it.

"He manipulated you, Mara. You did nothin' wrong." His hand squeezed hers, trying to be strong for her. "You're gonna be fine. We're all here for you."

"We?"

He nodded, "The others are in the waitin' room. Lara and Molly were pacin' up and down the place earlier, they've never looked so scared either."

"Liam, I tried to tell you somethin' before I.. slipped away, I guess." She began, Liam remembered what she was talking about. She inhaled sharply, her glossy eyes trailing up his face as she then spoke, "I love you, Liam. I always have. And I'm so- so sorry for the way I've treated ya'."

Liam felt himself smile, so did Amara. She missed his smile and the feeling of him. "I love you too Amara. So much." They pressed their lips together, the feeling of it was electric. She felt so safe again with him, she didn't want to ever leave him. "I'll let the nurse and everyone else know you're awake, I'll be right back okay?"

Amara nodded, holding his hand for as long as she could until he was out of reach and left the room. The door closed, and she comfortably sat up in her own time. Her head rested against the board behind her, sighing as she remembered every detail of what happened that day. The door then opened again, she expected Liam or perhaps Lara and Molly to come in, but it wasn't them.

It was her mum.

"Mum?" Amara whispered surprised. She hadn't been in contact with her mum despite still living with her.

"Amara, love! Thank god you're okay. I got here as fast as I could!" Her mum rushed over to her daughter, wrapping her arms around her.

"What are you doin' here mum? How did you get here?" Amara blurted out. Her mum pulled away with a relieved smile, her hand on Amara's cheek.

"You're my daughter. When I got the call I was so worried, I thought that man had killed you." She exclaimed, "This life for you is too dangerous, as soon as we leave Manchester the better!"

Amara's eyes widened, she pushed her mum's hand away, "Leave? I'm not leavin'."

"Amara, dear-"

"No, mum! I'm not goin' anywhere. My mates are here, my family. Liam's here!"
