Amara was grounded, once again. This time, even her mother was severely disappointed in her. It was worse than being grounded and suspended. The fact that her mother was cross. She was to stay in her room at all times, only allowed to come out when she needed the loo, food or water. That was it. Stupidly, her parents let her keep her phone with her, 'just in case she needed them whilst they were at work.'

But Amara being herself, she used it for other purposes like texting her boyfriend and mates where to meet up.

Liam said he was rehearsing with the band for an upcoming gig, so Amara didn't want to bother him. Instead she messaged Lara and Molly, who invited her over to their garage to practice one of their songs that they had agreed to rehearse.

Amara took a small bag with her so she was able to carry her phone and Lara's notebook that had the lyrics in. Before she left, she applied some makeup on her face, just to cover the purple spots.

Once again, her and her dad had another argument. It wasn't that severe, she thought to herself, it was another accident that got out of control. Her dad loved her.

After applying her foundation, she heard the front door open and close. That was her parents leaving for work. Her dad went to the pub, and her mum worked at the shops at little bit out of town, so she always came home a bit later as she needed to get the bus.

Amara opened her window, climbing out of it and steadying herself down to the ground like she usually did. Before she moved to Manchester she would never have done this in a million years, but now her mindset had almost changed completely. She had certainly become more confident about the way she talked, but also looked. When she went out her clothes were more revealing rather than a baggy hoodie and flares. She talked back more, standing up for herself and others too when needed.

Thankfully Lara and Molly lived close and Amara arrived in a matter of minutes. She headed to the garage, jumping over the little gate and letting herself inside.

"There's our favourite troublemaker!" Lara gleamed, walking over to Amara to give her a hug, "How's prison workin' out for ya'?"

"Grounded again, obviously." Amara rolled her eyes, pulling away.

Lara noticed she had makeup on, "Ooo who you tryin' to impress. You're not abandonin' us to see you know who, are ya'?" She teased, placing her hands in her hips.

Molly stood up from her drum kit to make her way over to the girls, "Nah, it's to impress me, duh!" She joked, side hugging Amara for a second and pulling away. Molly clearly wasn't the biggest hug fan.

"No of course not, he's busy rehearsing. Shouldn't you know that 'cause your boyfriend is the guitarist?" Amara shot back with a grin.

Lara slapped her arm, "Bonehead isn't my boyfriend.."

"Not yet anyway..." Amara trailed off knowingly.

"Whatever, what's goin' on between you and Liam? I saw that cheeky grab!" Lara squeeled, they made their way over to the sofa again.

"Ooo yeah spill, I ain't in your class." Molly added as well and sat on the arm of the chair again in their usual spots.

"Liam fake fainted in front of the teacher, bloody hilarious, so I had to escort him to the nurses office," Amara begun, "But instead we went to the back of the building.. to smoke weed.."

Lara gasped before smiling, "Cheeky! What else?" She wriggled her brows.

"We did not have sex behind the school if that's what you're implying!"

"Borin'!" Molly called, laughing along with Lara.

"And, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Or his bird, which he called it." Amara smiled, and the two girls in front of her were giggling and looking very happy for her.
