Jisung and Seungmin came home from their honeymoon. The two enjoyed this time they had alone. And when I say they both enjoyed it, I mean it. A few weeks passed until Seungmin started throwing up in the morning. The two of them initially thought that maybe Seungmin was sick and had caught something, but after a few weeks it didn't stop like it should have. Instead, more symptoms appeared, he had strange food combinations where Jisung sometimes missed eating, but it seemed to make his husband happy. A few months later, Seungmin noticed that he had gained a lot of weight and since it seemed strange to him, he went to the doctor without Jisung knowing anything about it. 

When he was called, he followed the doctor into her medical room, where he sat down on the chair and told her everything that had been going on recently. She wrote down a few things and first did the typical checkups, she noticed that Seungmin was scared or rather nervous because she suspected that he probably knew what could be wrong with himself. "Mr. Han? Can I ask you a question as long as you answer it honestly?" Seungmin nodded. "Do you have any idea what could be wrong with you?" Again he just nodded silently. "Do you want to share it with me?" She asked, not sure if he would talk. "I-I... I guess I have a suspicion... that I'm... pregnant..." She looked at him for a while, jotted something down and rummaged around in some of her cupboards. "Do you want to know exactly?" She asked and again Seungmin nodded. "You probably know how that works... we'll see each other again soon." And so Seungmin disappeared into the toilet. 

A few minutes later he was sent straight back in to see the doctor, who smiled at him with a gentle smile. "Congratulations Mr. Han. You are clearly pregnant and are currently in the 21st week of pregnancy. Would you like to take an ultrasound picture with you for your husband?" With glassy eyes, Seungmin nodded and the doctor got to work. Once it was printed out, she prepared the maternity record and put the ultrasound image in there. Seungmin thanked her and headed home. 

When he got there, he sat down on the bed in his shared bedroom with Jisung, still a little overwhelmed by the news, and looked at the picture. He was startled when the front door opened and Jisung called out to him. "Baby! I'm home! Where are you my angel?" He put the picture away and the maternity card in his bedside table and went downstairs to his husband. "I'm here darling." He said and ran out of the living room into the hallway where he ran into Jisung's arms. "So? How are you sweetheart?" - "Better. Thanks." Jisung smiled with relief and wrapped his arms around his husband and they stood like that for a few seconds. 

Seungmin already had an idea in his head of how he would surprise his husband with the little creature that was now growing up in him, but he couldn't have known at the time that everything would turn out completely differently than expected. 

3 months later

Seungmin just had an appointment with his doctor, who accompanied him through this pregnancy. In the morning he woke up and had severe pain in his abdomen. He called his doctor to ask if he could come earlier because he had a bad feeling that something was wrong with his baby. She agreed and so he was on his way to her again. When he got there, she took him straight to the examination room and before she could do anything, he doubled over as another strong cramp surprised him and that's when she noticed the blood on Seungmin's pants. 

"Mr. Han... I ask you not to panic, but you are bleeding... please lie down there and I will look after the baby.." Not panicking is easier said than done, his hands were shaking, his breathing became faster, but Ms. Rin was quick to calm him down. She turned on the ultrasound machine and put some of the cold liquid on Seungmin's stomach and then ran the transducer over the liquid. She didn't like what she saw and even less wanted to tell Seungmin, but she had to.
