---------------------------------

The older one swapped the bottle nipple with his pacifier and leaned back against the couch with the baby, who was now sleeping peacefully again, and rocked him back and forth a little more.

a few months later

After Jinnie chose his main caregiver, who -unsurprisingly- turned out to be Chan, the other six watched as the two grew closer. Hyunjin was much more clingy than before, the two of them were very quickly in their own world and didn't pay any attention to the others, which didn't really bother them, because they were in contact with just a single look, everyone agreeing that the two make a sweet couple would and that was exactly the moment they were waiting for.

But let's come to Jinnie, he was so fond of Chan that he wasn't even allowed to leave the room without Jinnie either crying or just crawling right after him. If he went to the kitchen, he waited in front of the room, he left to the toilet, Jinnie waited patiently in front of the closed door until Chan came out again.

And if he had to leave the house, then it was over! Jinnie could no longer be calmed down, which is why it often ended with him crying himself to sleep. It was the farewell that made it so bad because Chan was no longer there. But why he didn't ask if he could go with Chan was a mystery to everyone. They had no idea how long this would last. However, for now they focused on Chan and Hyunjin and how that develops.

Months passed in which you noticed that something was slowly happening between Chan and Hyunjin. What the others didn't know was that the two were already on their first date and that they would soon be on their second. The two of them knew what was happening between them had nothing to do with friendship anymore, so one afternoon after school Chan gathered all his courage and asked Hyunjin if he would like to go on a date with him too, and of course Hyunjin said yes. Who would reject something like that?

In any case, after their second date, which they spent at the cinema and later at a restaurant, the two became more open to each other and to what happened between the two of them. So of course their friends also didn't noticed what was going on and that the two of them were probably much further than they thought they were. And then the day came when Chan asked the question of questions. It was a Saturday and the eight of them met as a group outside in the park and talked. Little by little, the boys left the bench they were sitting on to run around a bit, and Chan took advantage of this to ask Hyunjin the question that had been on his tongue for days.

He also stood up and grabbed Hyunjin's hand, pulling him onto his legs and then into his arms. This elicited a little giggle from the younger one, who as always relaxed in the older one's arms, and then came his big moment. "Hyunie.." He said and in response he got a soft hum from the younger one. "I have to ask you something... that is very important to me... because I can't wait any longer... right now is the perfect time for it.." He said and then Hyunjin broke away and stared at Chan, a little worried but also a little anxious. "Hyuniee, will you do me the honor and become my boyfriend here in front of all the people walking by?"

The confused look on Hyunjin's face quickly turned into a happy one, there were so many emotions in his eyes that Chan wasn't surprised that after he answered "Yes, I want to be your boyfriend" he started to cry. "Oh Hyuniee, everything is fine. No need to cry baby.." Hyunjin sniffled and clung to the older one, who sat back on the bench with him on his lap and then the others came running again.

"Chan? What happened why is Hyunjinnie crying?" Jisung asked in a panic. But before the older one could even begin to open his mouth, Hyunjin literally blurted it out. He suddenly turned his head towards the others and then sobbed, "Channie and I are together!" and buried it again in the older boy's chest. The others giggled at the boy's sensitivity and of course congratulated the two. A good two hours passed and Hyunjin didn't even begin to stop crying.

This caused the seven boys a lot of worry, but Chan probably seemed to know the problem. "Baby...how long has it been since you were in your headspace, hm?" He asked gently. Hyunjin pulled away and looked at him with his swollen eyes that just wouldn't stop shedding tears. He looked at his hands and then mumbled "It's been... three... three months..." Chan sucked in a breath and looked meaningfully at the others. "Then I guess we'll go home now and have a nice day with Jinnie at Jisungie's, huh?" Hyunjin simply nodded and clung to Chan, mostly the first sign that he would soon be in his headspace.

They packed up their things and set off. On the way to Jisung, Hyunjin actually slipped into his headspace and whined in his dada's arms. Minho, who had the bag with the little things for Jinnie, looked for a pacifier, which he quickly found with the help of Felix, he pushed it between his lips and then he became calmer. There was silence the rest of the way after everyone realized that Jinnie had fallen asleep.

When they arrived at Jisung's, he opened the door and let Chan in first with Jinnie, who walked straight to the living room where he placed the boy on the couch and took off his shoes. He was about to put his and his baby's shoes away when Seungmin reached for them and pointed his head at Jinnie. Chan understood and so he grabbed the boy again and walked upstairs with him to change and put a diaper on him. When it was done, he went back downstairs with the sleeping one, knowing that if he put him in a bed he would wake up within the next minute.

A few hours later Jinnie woke up again, but didn't move, he found the said position in which he was lying in his dada's arms much too comfortable. The others didn't realize their baby was awake until Chan looked down and straight into Jinnie's eyes. "Hey sweetie..slept well?" He asked and in response he received a gentle nod from Jinnie. "nana mik? pwease?..." Jinnie asked and looked at his dada with his big eyes.

Changbin, who heard this, stood up straight away and literally ran away just to make the banana milk for the baby. With the finished bottle he walked back into the living room and handed it to Chan, who gently pulled on the baby's pacifier and swapped it for the bottle nipple that Jinnie also sucked on. Everyone enjoyed the moment of silence in which they could only hear Jinnie's gentle sucking and breathing.

What they didn't expect was that Jinnie would continue to lie calmly in Chan's arms. Quickly realizing that Jinnie just wanted to stay with his dada, they turned the TV on to a cartoon and plopped down on the other couch so Chan could lie down with Jinnie, which he did. The little one got his stuffie and blankie from Lino and Innie and so they spent the rest of the day watching cartoons with Jinnie. Well.. hours later the six realized that Jinnie and Chan were both asleep. Jisung grabbed a blanket and covered the two of them, then disappeared with the others into his room, where they began their spontaneous sleepover party.

Yes.. and that's how Hyunjin went from a lonely boy to a boy with six fantastic friends and a loving boyfriend. He had people who accepted him as he was and didn't kicked him out on the street. He was finally no longer lonely.

the end.
