So they went back into the living room and immediately all eyes were on him again, which is why he wrapped his fox tail around his waist and played nervously with his hands. 

Jisung, who sat down next to the fox hybrid, took one of his hands in his own and looked at him encouragingly. "Okay... we know that your name is Yang Jeongin and that you are a fennec fox hybrid, which means half human, half animal, right?" Minho said and smiled gently at Jeongin. Jeongin nodded and told a little more about himself. "I'm 18 years old and my home is out there in the bush..." Dead silence. The seven looked at the boy as if he had committed a crime, which is why he lowered his head again. Chan stood up and knelt in front of the younger boy, who raised his head again. 

"Innie... how long were you in the bush?..." - "too long..." he whispered back and it broke everyone's hearts. "Okay... but you have a different home now... you can stay with us if you want and then this all is your home, okay?" Jeongin looked at Chan with glassy eyes until he fell into his arms and started to cry. On the one hand, the seven boys knew that Jeongin had probably lived in their bush for months, if not years, and that living in an house was all new to him, but they wondered where his parents were and why he didn't live with them, but they remained silent on this question.  

a few months later

Jeongin got involved well in the whole thing, he also got his own clothes that always had a hole in them when it came to his pants. He was surprised at how many hybrids there actually were, even if you only saw them occasionally and nobody treated them differently. The boys organized a mini-job for Jeongin in a café where he comes home every day with a big smile. They played with him in his fox form in the garden and had lots of fun.

Of course there were also the negative things, which took the form of arguments, but it wasn't Jeongin and the others who argued, it was always just the seven, and on that one day Jeongin only heard the end, which is why he ran back to his room with tears running down his cheeks and cried his heart out. It was the weekend, the eight of them had nothing to do and spent the sunny days outside playing with Jeongin in his fox form, eating and much more. 

In the evening he changed back into his human form and went to take a shower and that was the moment when the seven started to argue. If you looked at the whole thing as an outsider, you would probably laugh about it, but Jeongin came around the corner at the moment when the sentence "Then he should go! I don't care, he's ruining our relationship!" was said. He stood there frozen while tears gathered in his eyes, which ran down his cheeks seconds later. He walked away slowly and quietly so that they didn't notice that he was even there. When he was out of sight and earshot, he started to run. He ran into his room, closed the door and hid in his bed and the only thought he had was that he was leaving. 

He knew from the beginning that it wouldn't be a good idea and yet he stayed with the couple. He hated himself for being so naive and listening to what Jisung said. But his decision was made. He will leave. He doesn't want to be responsible for this relationship breaking down. All the crying and thinking made him fall asleep, and when Felix and Jisung looked after the youngest of the bunch, they breathed a sigh of relief because they thought he had been sleeping the whole time. But they found out the next day that he hadn't. 

Jeongin woke up in the middle of the night and without thinking much about it, he got up and quietly left his room, he silently walked down the hallway to the front door, opened it, changed into his animal form and back to his human form, his bare skin was greeted by the sultry air, but he simply closed the door and ran away again in his animal form. Far away from the couple, far away from everything. At some point, when it started to get day again, he found himself in a quieter park. He slowed down and went behind a tree where he could see the lake that was there. There he lay down and stared, lost in thought, as the sun rose. A few hours passed, but Jeongin was still lying where he was. 

Every now and then, small children came and stroked him and he let them. What did he have to lose now other than his life? Exactly, nothing! While Jeongin was being stroked, the couple began to panic. Jisung, who woke up first because he had the feeling that something was wrong, dragged himself from his room downstairs. He went through every room, but there was nothing. But when he walked out of the kitchen into their hallway and saw the clothes lying there, everything became clear to him. He was wide awake within a few seconds and started to cry. 

"Innie..." he sobbed, minutes later Seungmin, Hyunjin and Felix were behind him. "Hannie?..." Hyunjin said and the younger one turned his head and they looked into his tear-stained face. "Hannie... why are you crying?" he asked and walked towards the boy on the floor with the other two. "Innie... he's gone... he heard what Chan, Changbin and Minho said and really left!" he sobbed and let himself fall into the arms of the oldest. 

The four of them sat on the floor and cried until the three men on duty woke up and noticed the sobbing when they tried to get into the kitchen. They went to the source and found the four youngest on the floor, as well as the clothes, but they didn't come to the conclusion that Jeongin had left, no, they preferred to ask questions to make it even worse. "Why are you sitting on the floor and crying? What's wrong with you?" Changbin asked annoyed, but what they weren't expecting was that Hyunjin, Jisung and Seungmin stood up and slapped them.

"Ouch! What was that for?" They asked and looked at the three in shock. "It's your fault that Innie left! It's your fault!! He heard what you said, how much of it we don't know, but he heard you saying he should leave because he's ruining our relationship! Congratulations!! You did it, he's gone! Are you happy now? Are you happy that he thinks he's ruining our relationship if you're the reason this relationship is ruined?!" Jisung said quickly and stormed off followed by the other two. 

The only one left was Felix. He looked at them with watery eyes, walked a little towards them and the only thing he said was "Why?..." and then he ran off too and looked for the other three. That same day, the four of them packed their bags and left the three alone. They needed distance and enough time to think and maybe they'd find Jeongin and be able to talk to him, but first they need to calm down and have to think through all that.
