It's the beginning of winter, a cold season where you can't survive without a jacket and winter-proof shoes. A season where two boys try to survive because they don't have anything like a home... let's say... anymore. The two of them have been living on the street for a year now, trying to feed themselves and keep warm as best they can, especially with these temperatures now prevailing. Over and over again you could hear whimpers and quiet sobs coming from the same side alley, but no one dared to step in.

Some people are probably wondering why the two boys, aged 18 and 19, no longer have a home. This is very simple, the two of them have found their own coping mechanism that really helps them to reduce stress, forget or cope with other things better, but the families... more or less parents of the two didn't think the whole thing was that great and kicked them out as they didn't stop their so-called 'phase'.

The two are also best friends, which is why they met by chance in a park after their parents kicked them out and since then they have been walking together the entire journey that lies ahead of them. The two of them have given up hope that anyone would ever come and find them in this side alley, which is why they did everything they could to be there for the other, but over time it became more difficult because they had suppressed their headspace for far too long.

The two, whose names are Lee Minho and Yang Jeongin, have lost a lot of weight over this one year, but they had no choice but to live on what they found or, well... more or less steal. They didn't steal from others, only when it was really necessary, but this winter in particular was very difficult for the two of them. They could hardly sleep, as soon as they closed their eyes they felt like everything around them was moving, they hadn't had anything to eat or drink for a good two whole days and then their little side wanted to get through.

It was too much for both of them and as much as they wanted to let their little side win, they didn't. The fear of what could happen if they closed themselves off from the adult world was too big for both of the boys to allow. But as we all know, of course not everything goes according to plan. After the two boys finally fell asleep, one of the two woke up again less than two hours later, but not in the way you think now, no, he woke up and no longer understood the world.

Lino was lying next to Innie who was still sleeping and didn't know how to react to all these signals his body was giving him, he had cramps from the lack of food, his body was shaking terribly from the cold and he was just so tired. And since he didn't know what else to do, he started whining and whimpering, but no one came to help him. Innie was still sleeping peacefully next to him, Lino also wanted to sleep, so with some difficulty he turned around and snuggled up to the older one, he closed his heavy eyelids and then fell asleep again after a few minutes.

Around noon he woke up again due to a very strong cramp, he immediately started crying and turned from one side to the other to try to reduce the pain, but it didn't help. He screamed and cried, hoping that someone would finally come and take away the pain and then hold him in their arms to calm him down. He screamed and cried for a while, until he suddenly became aware of a lot of hasty footsteps.

Innie next to him also woke up and sat up suddenly, reached for Lino and pulled him closer to him. Lino, however, cried out in pain again when the next fit of cramps hit him. Innie looked at the younger one in his arms with wide and frightened eyes, seconds later he heard several voices until he jumped when a voice sounded right in front of him. "Hey.. what are you doing out here in the cold?" The young man asked.
