He'll try, at least try before he really gives up.

2 year later

Seungmin has been going to his last school option for two years now and he is doing relatively well there, especially since he has Chan, Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin, Jisung, Felix and Jeongin as his best friends. Mr. and Ms. Kim also met the seven attractive boys and fell in love with them, which is why they are now treated like seven other children. Seungmin was happy, but what he told his father, that he had fallen in love with all seven, became stronger after he got to know them better. He had countless breakdowns because he was afraid of it.

The only thing Seungmin knew was people who would tear him down for who he is. For what he liked and loved. For things that were completely normal, he was afraid that he wouldn't fit into the relationship or would ruin it if it ever came to that point. He was just so afraid of taking this step into a relationship, and with seven other people instead of just one. He didn't mind, but what was coming scared him. His dad and mom tried to calm him down and told him what they had seen and this calmed him down but it didn't always help and so the seven boys had to do the job and they then made them line up with an excuse that made Seungmin cry.

After all, they couldn't just say they should come because Seungmin was having a breakdown about what would happen if he were in a relationship with them. They didn't want to do that either. Seungmin should do it himself or the seven attractive young men. Of course, you can run out of excuses in such cases because the more often you have to lie, the less sense they make. It was a Saturday afternoon, the Kims had eaten lunch, Seungmin went into his room and as soon as he sat down on his bed, the tears started flowing, he threw himself into his bed and screamed into his pillow, his parents heard this of course and without going upstairs to their son, they called Chan, who by now no longer asked or answered the call.

As soon as Seungmin's contact lighted up, he gathered up his boyfriends and they ran to Seungmin's house, where the Kims let them in. "He's upstairs..." And then they sprinted upstairs, they didn't even knock on the younger boy's door because they knew he wouldn't notice. They all squeezed into bed with him, this time it was Minho who pulled the boy onto them to calm him down. Nobody said anything, they all lay close together to comfort Seungmin, who calmed down pretty quickly in the arms of the seven boys and fell asleep peacefully. The boys looked at each other worriedly, as they always did when Seungmin fell asleep, because up until now they had always known the reason for these breakdowns, only not this time, they were silent for a long time until they started to have a quiet discussion about what had happened.

"It's not normal how often he's had these breakdowns and you could tell me what you wanted, but what mom and dad said hardly made any sense in the end. His goldfish had died, which he had never owned, logically for sure... Something doesn't add up... not at all." Changbin said and looked at the others and then at Seungmin, who was still sleeping peacefully in Minho's arms. "It's sometimes scary when Dad calls and says Seungmin is crying, no matter what excuse they give us. Something is bothering him that he has these severe breakdowns and it's really scary..." Felix said, his gaze on the sleeping boy. Jisung agreed with a simple nod, also looking at Seungmin.

And just as Minho was about to say something, Seungmin moved a little and everyone looked at the sleepyhead expectantly. He sat sleepily on Minho's lap and rubbed his eyes tiredly. He blinked around the room with tired eyes until he saw the seven boys and just looked at them. "Minnie?..." Chan said softly and immediately had the younger boy's attention. "Would you like to tell us what happened? The truth behind these breakdowns... maybe..." Seungmin just looked at the older boy until his eyes filled with tears again. It was Jeongin who pulled him from Minho's lap to his own to look at him.

"Don't cry... it's okay... we want to understand what's going on inside you, do you understand? Because it's so painful to see you crying like that and not knowing the real reason... I know mom and dad are covering for you and know more than we do, but we would like to hear from you what's going on... please talk to us Minnie..." Seungmin looked at him with a pout and glassy eyes, not knowing if he really should. He was scared. Just scared. "Shh... calm down Minnie..." Jisung said, reaching for the boy's shaking hand. "I-I'm scared..." he began. "Why's that, Minnie?" Hyunjin asked and held his other hand.

"I'm scared of what you'll say once you know what's behind the breakdowns... It's not even a bad thing... are you going to laugh at me?" He asked and looked at them all. "Minnie, of course not, you know us..." Changbin said. "Well... since my second day of school... I knew that I found someone very attractive... well, there were several... and when I found out that these people were in a relationship, I didn't know what to do.

I cried instead of eating and drinking, which is why I fainted... Um... I became friends with them through the conversation with dad and that made the feeling stronger... I fell in love with them, even back then... um, well... I've never had a relationship with anyone before and so I'm afraid of doing something wrong... or ruining the relationship, even though I don't know if the people in question even feel the same way... and mom and dad have to calm me down many times-" and there were a pair of soft lips on his.

He fell silent immediately, not knowing what to do, he was petrified. Jeongin pulled away after a few seconds and looked into the shocked faces of his boyfriends and Seungmin. "What? Didn't you understand that he was talking about us?" He asked, and then the looks changed to surprised ones. "Minnie... are you with us?" Jeongin asked with a giggle. "Innie... Innie... c-can you d-do it again?" He asked and without getting an answer, the older boy connected his lips with the younger boy's. This time he returned the kiss, which made Jeongin grin. They pulled away again due to lack of air and looked at each other with sparkling eyes. Seungmin turned to Chan, Changbin and Minho who smiled gently at him, and before he could react, their were lips on his again.

Minho's.

He returned it too, until Changbin took his kiss, then Hyunjin, Jisung and Felix followed. The only one missing was Chan. Seungmin looked at him until he crawled over to him and just looked at him. "Minnie..." he began, but was interrupted by the younger boy's lips. When the two of them broke away, Seungmin looked at the seven and said.

"I don't want a long speech... since you all kissed me or just kissed me back... I'm assuming that you feel the same as I do... right?" The seven nodded quickly, which made Seungmin giggle. "Seungmin, do you want to be our boyfriend?" Hyunjin said and looked questioningly at the younger boy. "What kind of question is that!! Of course I do!!!" He was pulled into a group hug and later his parents burst in, causing the eight boys to laugh.

But unfortunately for every happy ending there is always something that destroys it as quickly as it began.
