little piggy pt.3

Ship: Changbin x Stray kids
Triggers/Warnings: homeless boy (don know if it triggers one of you, but you never know right?)

Han: Squirrel, Felix: Cat, Seungmin: Puppy, Jeongin: Fox

At some point he'll definitely tell or show Chan and the others... but not now... not now that things are finally going so well.  

From this point on, the eight of them were only seen together, Jisung's words kept buzzing through Changbin's head that the squirrel was right. Nobody, really nobody had anything against him being a piggy hybrid, they also treated him with respect and were kind to him. The four boys have to left the school on the same day because the principal didn't agree with making others feel bad about his species of hybrid, especially if it's the same species, and the topic of bullying was also a big no-go for him. 

After the four of them left, there was peace, everyone talked to each other, the teachers watched with a smile on their faces, because that's exactly how everything should work. You should just accept everyone as they are, no matter what it was about.

But to get back to the topic, Changbin felt more and more comfortable with the seven of them and no longer had the thought in his head of somehow crashing into the relationship and thereby destroying it in any way. He felt... he finally felt free. 

Not so lonely anymore, because he has finally found people who want to talk to him and be friends despite his low status in the population. It was easier for him to get ready for school, although he still had that one bothering thought in his head that said, 'What if they want to come home with you?' Every morning he simply shook his head and began his walk to school, but even there, he couldn't rest from this one thought. He sank into that one thought over and over again, imagining every scenario that could happen, every reaction that could come. Any rejection he didn't like, it was just cruel for him. 

And every day he looked into the worried faces of his seven friends, who were probably trying to talk to him for a while and he was too deep in his thoughts and didn't notice anything. "Binnie? Is really everything okay with you? You've been spacing out a lot for the last few weeks and we need a while to get you back to the here and now... you know that you can talk to us and we won't judge you for anything or hate you, no matter what it is. There's a reason or an explanation for everything... so if you want to talk, feel free to do so, okay?" Minho said, looking at the younger with a slight smile. 

And that same day, as the seven walked home, they talked about the piggy hybrid's worrying behavior, but they couldn't come up with an answer or explanation. Over the next few days, the seven boys observed the behavior of the youngest member of the group, but even from that they couldn't come up with an explanation. Everything about Changbin's posture and behavior screamed loudly for help, but for a damn reason they couldn't figure out what he could have. So more days went by in which this behavior became more and more obvious, until this one day when Chan got a call in the middle of the night. 

It was a normal school day like any other, Changbin left the kennel and made his way to school, where the other seven were already waiting for him. The lesson went as it should, but Changbin's world fell apart when he arrived at the park where he had his little house who he lived in. After class he said goodbye to the seven and calmly walked towards the park, he followed the usual route that he took to school in the morning and where his home stood just a few hours ago there were only the boards from which it was built. 

Changbin stood a few meters away, tears slowly gathering in his eyes. This kennel, which was now just a pile of boards, has been his home since he was thirteen years old and now it is broken. And as if nature had sensed this sadness, the sky closed in with many black and gray clouds and minutes later it was raining. With slow steps and tears now running down his cheeks, he approached the place where his home was until he completely collapsed and cried in the pouring rain for hours. Somewhere in the middle of the night, with shaking hands, he pulled out his phone and called Chan. It rang a few times before he answered the call.

Binnie

"Hello?.. Binnie? What are you doing awake at this time? Binnie?.." 

"Ch-Channie?.. I.. I won't be coming to school later.. I'm not feeling so well.."  

"Binnie? What's going on? Are you crying? Bin, are you outside? Why aren't you at home? You're just getting sick, tell me where you are and I'll come and get you.. please.."

But instead of answering, he simply hung up and lay down next to the wet wood that was once supposed to be his home. Meanwhile, Chan stumbled out of his bed and changed his clothes. The unintentional noise he made woke up the other six, who walked completely sleepy into the wolf hybrid's room and saw him running around the room, totally out of it. "Babe? What are you doing awake at this hour? Why aren't you sleeping?" Minho asked, but he didn't get an answer. Just as the eldest was about to storm out of his room, Hyunjin grabbed him. 

"Where are you going? What's going on here Chan! Talk to us!!" He said pleadingly and only then did he react. "Bin called me less than ten minutes ago.. he was crying and said he won't be coming to school later because he's not feeling well.. he's god damn outside in this weather and I don't know what's going on because he then just hung up! And now please let me go! I have to look for the boy.. if you want to help, then you stay and put out fresh clothes, towels and ran a warm bath for him later!" And so he stormed down into the hallway while the others looked at each other. "Lino go with him!" They said to him and so he dashed into Chan's room, put on a hoodie and sweatpants and ran downstairs into the hallway where he was just able to stop Chan that they could go together.
