"Cellular cohesion will take a few hours, but we can initiate the consciousness stream." Dr. Cho said "We're uploading your cerebral matrix... now." Helen said as she fixed the controls I stepped forward and look at the cradle "I can read him. He's dreaming." I said "I wouldn't call it dreams. It's Ultron's base consciousness, informational noise. Soon..." Helen explained to me "How soon?" Ultron interrupted "I'm not being pushy." He added "We're imprinting a physical brain. There are no shortcuts.." Helen was telling Ultron I reached forward and touched the cradle a flash came up in front of my eyes. There was a giant explosion hitting the earth. So many more flashes of the world getting destroyed came into my head. I let out a yelp and stepped back towards Wanda and Pietro Both Wanda and Pietro grabbed my arms asking me what's wrong but I ignored them and looked at ultron. "How could you?" Wanda asked him as she saw what I saw "How could I what?" Ultron asks "You said we would destroy the Avengers, make a better world." I argued "It will be better." He told us "When everyone is dead." I ask harshly "That is not..!" Ultron said starting to raise his voice. "The human race will have every opportunity to improve." He told us "And if they don't?" Piet asked. "Ask Noah." Ultron replied "You're a madman." Wanda said "You're just like the rest of them. I should've never helped you" I tell him "There were more than a dozen extinction level events before even the dinosaurs got theirs. When the Earth starts to settle, God throws a stone at it, and believe me, he's winding up. We have to evolve. There's no room for the weak." Ultron says while staring at the cradle "And who decides who's weak?" Pietro asks While ultron is distracted I quickly release Dr. Cho from ultrons control. "Life. Life always decides." Ultron chuckles "There's incoming." Ultron said looking up. "The Quintet. We have to move." He adds "That's not a problem." Helen says as she stops the uploading Ultron groans then blasts Helen. Pietro quickly grabs Wanda and I and speeds out
"How could I be so stupid! I should've known I should've stopped this!" I start to mumble "Liz we didn't know it's alright. We did what we thought was right" Pietro reassured me I look up at a TV to see Captain America and Ultron fighting "We have to help." I say looking at them both
We got to the train that Ultron was fighting Captain America on, Pietro zoomed in and pushed ultron out of the way. Wanda and I blocked Ultron off before he could get to Steve "Please. Don't do this." Ultron said "You gave us no choice" I said Ultron sent a blast that went through the whole train then he flew out leaving us in the train which was starting to pick up speed. "I lost him! He's headed your way." Cap yells to his coms He ran and checked to see the driver was dead "Civilians in our path." He said simply Pietro nodded as sped out of the train. "Can you stop this thing?" Cap asks us. I nod then look at Wanda We both stretch out our hands, the blue and red era mixing together to make a purple color. We finally get the train to stop completely before stepping out to find Pietro
"Pietro!" I yell as I see him out of breath "Are you ok?" Wanda asks "I'm fine. I just need a minute." He told us "I'm very tempted not to give you one." Steve said walking over to us "The Cradle, did you get it?" Wanda asks "Stark will take care of it." Steve replied. "No, he won't." She said "You don't know what you're talking about, Stark's not crazy." Steve told us "He will do anything to make things right." I say he pauses and touches his com "Stark, come in. Stark. Anyone on comms?" He asks but gets no response "Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it. Where do you think he gets that?" I ask him
"I'm gonna say this once." Steve says as we walk into the Avengers lab "How about 'nonce?" Stark snapped "Shut it down!" Steve says "Nope, not gonna happen." Stark said walking to another computer. "You don't know what you're doing." Steve told them. "And you do? They're not in your head?" Banner said sounding pissed "I know you're angry but-" I said taking a step forward "Oh, we're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade." He replied angrily as I sent him a glare "Banner after everything that's happened..." Steve started to say "That's nothing compared to what's coming!" Stark yelled "You don't know what's in there!" Wanda yells Before I knew it Pietro speeds around the Cradle, unplugging everything. "No, no. Go, on. You were saying?" He before a bullet flys up through the floor making him crash down "Pietro!" Me and Wanda yell I see Wanda get grabbed by Bruce and as I look down I see Clint pointing a gun at me but once he sees it's me he drops it "You didn't go inside my head, I don't shoot you." he says simply and Pietro looks at me with a weird face
Before anyone could say anything else Thor jumps on the cradle and brings lighting down "Thor no!!" Steve yells but it was to late
This red looking man floats out. He looks at everyone then grabs Thor by the throat and smashes him through the glass. Thor throws him but he stops himself right before he hits the window. He stares at the city and his reflection before floating back down to all of us
"I'm sorry, that was... odd." He says to us "Thank you." He nods to Thor "Thor, you helped create this?" Steve asks "I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope and at the center is that." Thor says pointing to the yellow gem in his forehead. "What the gem?" Banner asked him "It's the mind stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities." Thor explains "Then why would you bring it to..." Steve starts to say "Because Stark is right." Thor cut him off "Oh, it's definitely the end times." Banner mumbles "The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron." Thor said "Not alone." Thor's Vision finished "Why does your 'vision' sound like Jarvis?" Steve asked "We... we reconfigured Jarvis' matrix to create something new." Stark answered "I think I've had my fill of new." Steve mumbles "You think I'm a child of Ultron?" The man asked "You're not?" I asked him stepping forward. "I'm not Ultron. I'm not Jarvis. I am... I am" The body said trying to find the right words. "We looked inside your head and saw annihilation." Wanda said "Look again." He replied "Yeah. Her seal of approval means jack to me." Cint said to everyone "Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone, and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash." Thor explains "But with it on our side..." Thor starts to say "Is it?" Steve cut Thor off "Are you? On our side?" He asks "I don't think it's that simple." The man said "Well it better get real simple real soon." Clint snaps "I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't, he will end it all." The 'vision' said "What's he waiting for?" Stark asks "You." He said "Where?" Banner asks "Sokovia." Clint answered "He's got Nat there too." He added "If were wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be..." Banner starts to say "What will you do?" He asks looking at everyone "I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique, and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster." He looked down "I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go." He finished holding Thor's hammer up to him Thor took his hammer from him as his Vision walked off "Right." Thor said "Well done." He patted Starks shoulder then walked off "Three minutes. Get what you need." Steve said to everyone
I grab some pants and a jacket, Pietro grabs some shoes and starts to put them on. Wanda was staring at the 'vision' so I decided to throw a red jacket at her snapping her out of her thoughts
"Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire, and that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out." Steve said "All they want is to live their lives in peace, and that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done, and find out what Ultron's been building. We find Romanoff, and we clear the field. Keep the fighting betweeen us. Ultron thinks we're monsters and we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right." He finished as I looked at the small ball of blue magic floating around my fingers
