"Good news" Mr. Harrington says "We're going to the opera." He tells us "You're kidding me" flash scoffs "The opera?" Betty asks "Don't look at me" Mr. Dell says "What happened to the carnival?" MJ asks "This is upgrade living. Come on. The tour company just gave us this tickets for free! Do you have any idea how much opera tickets cost?" Mr. Harrington tells us "No because none of us have ever wanted to go to the opera, ever" Flash tells him "Uh. I think this is gonna be culturally enriching for us" Ned says "Thank you Ned. Everyone, this is gonna be maybe, the best four hours of our whole trip." Mr.Harrington says "Four hours?!" Everyone asks "Guys, I think this is gonna be really fun. Seriously." Ned tells them We all dressed up in dresses and suits. Even tho I would be in my suit in less than 5 minutes, we still had to play the part "I bet now your all happy I had you pack a nice outfit" Mr. Harrington said "Yeah because we'd much rather go to a four hour opera instead of the biggest party of the world" Flash tells him "Again don't look at me" Mr. Dell says "Pandora you copy" Hill's says through comms "Yeah" I say back softly "Okay here we are. Beat the rush" Mr. Harrington says happy "Yeah the rush out" Mr. Dell says "Lucky for us we got the best seats in the house" Mr. Harrington says "Hey. I'll save you a seat" brad tells me before walking off I just stand there when Peter comes up to me "You look really pretty tonight" Peter told me "You saying I looked bad yesterday?" I ask him with a smirk "No! No that's not what I meant at all. You look beautiful every day-" he starts to say fast "Calm down Parker, I'm just kidding. Thank you." I smile "You're welcome" Peter said smiling "You look pretty handsome as well" I tell him "Thank you" Peter says trying to hide his blush "Oh my gosh! Opera glasses!" Betty says "So cute" Ned gushed and grabbed a pair. "Are you in position?" Fury asks Peter and I look at each other "Be there in 5" I tell him
"All right. We're in position" Peter says. "Hows the suit?" Fury asks us "Uh yeah my suit's great. It's awesome. It's a little tight around the old web-shooter." Peter says "Energy spiking." Hill says "We have seismic activity." She adds Then the floor started to break and lava started coming out "Ok he's here! Beck are you ready?" Peter asks "On your lead, Spider-Man and sapphire." Beck says I started to hold the lava dude back with my power throwing anything at it that wouldn't make it bigger.
We keep fighting but whatever we did it wasn't helping. It just kept getting bigger. I saw the ferris wheel with Ned and betty on it falling over. I quickly grabbed it with my powers and started to fly each person down at a time.
"Whatever happens. I'm glad we met." I hear Beck say "What are you doing?" Peter asks "What I should have done last time." He tells us He started getting as much green power around him as possible "Beck, don't do it!" Peter yells Then he flew at the lava, it got bigger and bigger then exploded send inc back flying away.
Peter and I ran over to Beck on the floor "Beck?" I ask "Mr. Beck?" Peter says tapping him Quentin slowly opens his eyes "Oh thank God" Peter mumbles as I just let out a sigh Peter and I help him up as we hear hill "So it's over?" Hill asks "That was the last of them" Quentin says. "But not the last threat we'll ever face. We need to stay vigilant. There's a void in this world for someone like you. Hill and I are going to Europol headquarters in Berlin tomorrow. You should join us." Fury tells Beck "Thank you. I just might take you up on that." He answers "You got gifts kid. But you didn't wanna be here" Fury tells Peter "Mr. Fury I-" he starts to say "I'd love to have you two in Berlin too. But you got to decide whether you're going to step up or not. Stark chose the both of you. Roger's chose you as well Elizabeth. They made you Avengers. I need that. The world needs that. Maybe Stark was wrong." He says "Was he? The choice is yours." He looks straight as me Beck looks at Peter and I as fury walked off "Let's get a drink." He says "We're not 21" Peter says "Technically I'm way over it. Let's go" I say
I unfortunately wasn't allowed to get a drink. So I sat there drinking a lemonade with Peter
"Hey. You got to celebrate. We did something good tonight." Beck tells us "Fury was right" peter said "Tony did a lot for the both of us. so I owe it to him to everybody." He says "Do you?" Quentin asks "Yeah" he mumbles "What do you want kids?" Beck asks us "What do you mean?" Peter asks him "What do you want?" He says again "Still don't understand" I tell him "What do you want? You, Peter Parker, and you, Elizabeth Pandora want right now. I know you're thinking about it." He tells us "I wanna go on my trip. I want to go back on my trip with my friends. And go to the top of the Eiffel Tower" Peter says glancing at Elizabeth but she didn't notice Then Beck looks at me waiting for my answer I look at my hands "I don't want anything. I just want to know about me, about my powers, where I came from. But that won't ever happen so there's no point to wait on something that will never come" I say "Don't wait then go find out" he tells me "I can't!" I raise my voice a little bit then calm myself down to continue "I can't. I have responsibilities here. There's no reason for me to waste time" I say looking away so I don't blow up more A woman walks past us but stops and picks something up on the floor. She taps Peter handing him glasses "Oh my God. Thank you so much." Peter says "What are those? Are those the-" Beck starts to say "EDITH glasses, yeah" Peter said "They were just on the floor? Try them on. Let's see how they look on you" Beck tells him He puts them on looking proud. I stare at him and smile. He looks amazing ugh stop Elizabeth! "I actually really like them" Peter said and I smiled even more happy he was confident "Can I be completely honest with you?" Beck asks "Please." Peter tells him "They look really stupid." He says I just stare at him angry "Oh." Peter says "I think you look great Peter" I tell him "But maybe they have a contact-lens version of them." Beck says "You try them on." Peter says taking them off "No come on" Beck laughs "Try them on." Peter says again "I don't wanna try them on." Beck tells him "Just put them on." Peter says one last time "What do you think?" He asks after putting them on Peter doesn't answer but he looks down and mumbles something ''The next hero, I trust you." He says clearer this time "For the next hero, I trust you." He says again "What is it?" I ask him "Stark left me a message with those glasses. For the next hero, I trust you" Peter tells us "I'm still not following. How many lemonades have you had?" Beck asks laughing "He knew every mistake I ever did okay? So he must've known I wasn't ready for something like this" Peter said "He gave it to you Peter. Tony wouldn't give it to you if he didn't think you were ready" I tell him but he just shrugs it off "He didn't trust me to have EDITH, he just trusted me to pick who should. It makes much more sense. He always knew I'd do what's right. And he's not gonna give them to Fury because Fury would give himself EDITH." Peter says "You're probably right about that" Beck says "Right, so the world needs the next hero. And it's not gotta be me. I'm just 16 year old kid from Queens. It needs to be an adult with some experience and that's good like Tony Stark, like you." Peter tells him "Peter what are you doing?" I ask him seriously "No. Peter, come on. No." Beck says Peter quickly puts on the glasses "EDITH?" He says "Hi. Yeah, um. I'd like to transfer your control over to Quentin Beck" Peter said "Peter, are you stupid! He gave them to you not him." I say in a raised voice "Stark gave you the glasses" Beck says "Stark gave me a choice. It's my choice to make ok? And I'm gonna make it" Peter tell him "You're a soldier, a leader. You stopped the Elementals. You saved my life. You saved the world, ok? He'd want you to have them." Peter tells him "You're an idiot. He doesn't deserve them like you do. No offense" I say and Beck shrugs it off "Elizabeth trust me" he says I shake my head "I'm leaving" I tell him
