The Sapphire Soldier

Part 10

I walk into the room where I was strapped into a chair in Hydra
I get hooked up to all these wires and I see a bunch of needles on a tray next to me.
"What are those for?" I ask
"Today you will be giving what is called super soldier serum. It will enhance your physical abilities." The scientist tells me
I nod before they start to grab the needles
As soon as they enter my arms and legs my whole body feels like it is on fire

I tried to hold in my scream as long as possible before I couldn't anyone.
I let out scream after scream before the pain finally stopped

"Stop please. Please no more" I beg
A guard comes and grabs me dragging me to the training room

"You will fight hand to hand combat till you can win" the guard tells me
My body feels exhausted but also strong. I look up to see a guard 5 times my size ready to fight.

I put my arms up and start to attack. The moment I do, I realize my movement is faster, my muscles are stronger. The serum worked.

It wasn't long before I had the guard pinned down. The leader seemed satisfied enough to let me go back to the cell.
Once I got there my body collapsed.
I wanted to go to sleep in that moment but Alexander wasn't in the cell. I wanted to make sure he was ok before I did.

It wasn't long before Alexander was thrown into the cell as well.
He looked in worse shape than me. He didn't even move from the position he was in.
I crawled over to him and put his head in my lap
"Are you ok alex" I ask
"Everything hurts" he says
"Shh shh it's ok. Just get some rest" I tell him

"Hmm. The broken pieces of you are adding up buttercup. I have a theory, but I need more." She says opening yet another
I walked through to instantly know where I was
"So tell me where are we?" She asks
"Hydra. It was my 10th birthday, they were sending us on a mission" I tell her

I quickly hacked one of the computers and started to down load the file.
"Come on come on hurry up" I mumble
"You think you could move any faster?" Alex asks me
"Tell that to the computer!" I say to him in a whisper
"Some birthday" I roll my eyes

Once it finishes uploading I grab the flash drive and we start to make our way out of the building.

"There!" We hear guards yell
"Alright time to run!" I yell to Alexander

We make it outside as they started to shoot at us
"Let's go come on alex!" I yell
Alex try's to keep up with me

"In here!" I tell him jumping into a ally way and hiding as I hear all the guards running past us

I let out a sigh
"Alright let's get back to the helicopter." I say and start to walk off
But I soon stop not hearing alex following me
I turn to see him just standing there
"Alex?" I say

I look down to see his hands move off his stomach to reveal 3 gunshot wounds.
He starts to fall before I catch him
"Alex!" I yell
I lay him down on the ground trying to stop the bleeding
"No no no no " I mumble
"Alex please no you can't die please I need you!!" I say with tears falling out of my eyes
"Lizzie" he says
"It's ok" he says
"No no please alex you can't leave me" I beg him
He smiles at me
"I love you" he says before I see him take his last breath
"Alex? Alex no no please!" I yell
"No no alex! I love you too please come back! I need you!" I yell

I hear foot steps start to come up behind me. I turn to see Hydra guards making their way to me.

I turn back to alex and look at his lifeless body lying there.
I see his necklace that he has had since he was born on his neck. I quickly take it off and hold it tight
The guards grab me and drag me away
More guards grab Alexander's body and carry it back to the helicopter

"If only you knew you could've saved him" she mumbles
"Next memory" she says quickly opening another door
I walk though the door to see myself standing in a room with the scepter on the other side.
"State your name and age" a voice speaks over the speaker
I swallow before speaking up
"Elizabeth, 13" I say
"Reach out and touch the stone" they say
I hesitate before I take a step forward
But as soon as I do the stone comes flying at me
It stops a few feet away in the air

I stare at it in awe before unknowingly I reach out and touch it. Right as I touch it a bright light explodes
I squint my eyes and lift my hand to try to look, as I look up I see a figure in the light with her arms stretched out. Then I pass out

"So miss Elizabeth got up close and personal with one of the infinity stones. They just have unlocked your powers and added more" she says smiling

"Huh so wait let's just have a little recap shall we? Your biological parents dead. Adoptive parents dead. The planet you were born on gone. Both of your so called brothers dead. Two of the people who helped you become who you are today dead. Father figure in a deep state of a coma because of you. Everything you love gone in just one snap." She tells me
"Stop please. I can't do this anymore" I tell her starting to tear up
"Come on Elizabeth! You're on the precipice. You are right there! Tell me how you achieved it. Everyone was gone. All because of one person. You wanted him to pay." She says
I don't know what came over me but I repeated her words
"I wanted him to pay." I say
She opens another door and as I walk through
"I wanted him to pay." I mumble one last time

Thanos places the stone back into his gauntlet but before he can snap again I grab his hand with my powers stopping him.
"Ahhh Elizabeth Pandora" he says
"I know you're filled with fear" he tells me
"Yeah maybe am I, but you know what I say to fear" I start to say my hands glowing a bright dark blue
"Fuck off" I say as I start to attack him. Hitting him over and over again while keeping his hand from snapping.
I throw him down but some how hits me down away from him.
Thanos stands up, straightening his glove. He look at me on the ground
"You're weak. And I.... Am inevitable" he says then snaps. But it doesn't work. He looks at his glove to see it empty. He looks at me to see the stones floating in my hands, staring wide eye. 
"No, I'm not weak" I say connecting my powers to the stones.
"I am..." I say taking a breath from all the power consuming me at once
"Elizabeth Pandora" I smirk using the same words he said to me.
Then I snap.

"Fascinating" she says
"What is?" I ask her confused
"You didn't see that?" She asks me
"Honey why do you think you didn't die from the snap? Your powers were the only thing that saved you. You didn't just use the powers of the stones, you consumed them inside of you for the time being. You connected to them" she tells me
I don't respond, I remember feeling like I was connected.

Then suddenly I was back in the basement but Hailey wasn't there. Then I heard two people screaming
"Elizabeth!! Elizabeth!! Help us please!" Two voices call out that I instantly recognized
"Elizabeth help!!" I hear them say again
I get up and sprint out of the room.
I finally make it outside to see Hailey floating above the ground and two purple ropes. She had Billy and Tommy around the throat
"Billy Timmy?" I ask with a shocked expression
"I know what you are" Hailey says
"Elizabeth!!" They both yell
She tugs on the ropes causing them to groan in pain
"It's okay. It's gonna be okay" I tell them
"You have no idea how dangerous you are. You could end the world without batting an eye. You're supposed to be a myth. A being capable of spontaneous creation and destruction all at the same time and here you are, trying to save people who don't even care for your well being" She tells me
"Let go of them" I tell her in a strong voice
"You hold the power to bring the world down on its knees. This is Chaos Magic and Madness Sorcery Elizabeth. And that makes you the Sapphire Soldier" she says
