I slowly wake up in the compound medbay. I start to sit up and get a massive headache, I reach up to fill the bandage over the cut. My mind starts to replay the events of yesterday over and over again.
"Lizzie!" I hear Wanda say running in tackling me in a hug "You're ok!" She says happily "Yeah I'm ok" I smile "I'm going to guess you were the one who pulled me out?" I ask her "Yeah. Lizzie please don't ever do that again. I can't lose you" she tells me "I'm sorry. But I couldn't just stand there and do nothing. I was the one who caused it for goodness sake" I say sighing She just looks at me and gives me a hug "The doctor said you don't have a concussion, no broken or fractured bones, just some cuts and bruises, plus you exhausted yourself out using so much power at once." she tells me changing the subject I just smile at her "Do you want me to cook you some food?" She asks "Yeah that would be great." I smile "Ok I'll be back in 10 minutes" she tells me then walks out the door
Right after she walked out I quickly grabbed the tv remote and turned it on. I skipped through channels as I finally found the news It was showing the events of yesterday everywhere.
"-tragic events yesterday, as the avengers cause more chaos and destruction everywhere they go! They are saying the new avenger or who we called "Sapphire" was the one who caused this explosion. Rumors say she flew up into the building to help but moments later it came crashing down. People are even wondering if she cause it to collapse. So the questions remain is the sapphire soldier even on our side? Or is she a villain in disguise?" The news says
I didn't know what to feel in that moment. I didn't know if I should cry or scream. I was numb. "I think you should turn that off" I hear someone say I turn to see Steve leaning against the door before he walks in "It's true you know. What they are saying. How can I be trusted? My first mission I cause a whole building to explode" I say sadly "Yes that's true but they didn't see what you did after. You flew up there without a second thought. You held the building up and got everyone out. You even made sure everyone was far away enough before letting it go. You exhausted yourself so much you almost didn't even get out of there. That right there. Is a hero." He tells me "Why are you doing that?" I ask him "Doing what?" He asks confused "Treating me like a person." I say tears forming in my eyes "Because you are one. You have the same feelings as the rest of us" he says "They don't seem to think so" I say nodding towards the tv "They don't understand what it's like. They haven't gone through what you've gone through. You were the only one who did. So you should be the one to know the most that you are human" he tells me I wipe a tear from my eye "You never cease to amaze me with your little speeches of yours" I laugh "What can I say? I'm great at it" he laughs
Steve and I talked for a while before Wanda came back in with my food. As I was eating vision came in
"Mr. Rogers wanted me to inform you that you are needed in the conference room." Vision says to Wanda "Why?" She asks "Mr. Stark is here and he's brought a guest." He said then walked out
