I sit in the corner of the donut and coffee shop, reading a book.
I look up at the sound of someone walking in. I stare for a second before looking back down quickly
"Doughnut for my fellow Engineer." I hear MJ say "Wait what?" Ned asks "MIT, they're the Engineers. The mascot" MJ tells him "Oh right right right. I should probably know that. Look at you with the school spirit." Ned says "Tell anybody I will deny it" she says walking over to cash register to get the boys order.
I stare at him. Looking at how his curls aren't loose like they used to be, instead pulled back with gel. "Elizabeth" MJ says with my bag of donuts I stand up and walk over to the counter. "Thank you" I say taking them "And that coffee will be right out" she says as I give her a small nod and smile
I watch as MJ and Ned talk about college. "What about you?" He boy next to me asks "Huh?" I say snapping out of my thoughts "I mean- are you going to college" he says "Oh no no. College is not in the cards for me" I tell him "Are you going anywhere?" I ask him "No. College isn't really in the cards for me either" he laughs "What's your name?" He asks "Elizabeth" I say shaking his hand "And you are?..." I ask "Peter. Peter Parker" he smiles "Here's your coffee ma'am" MJ says handing it to me "Thank you" I smile to her "It was nice to meet you Peter Parker" I laugh "You too Elizabeth. I'll see you around?" He asks me "Possibly" I smile before walking out
I walk back to my apartment, unlocking the door. I had gotten a job at the local restaurant, as of right now that's how I will pay with everything. I walk over to my box of things which is small and start to unpack.
I take out my suit and glasses that Tony gave me. I start to redesign the glasses, getting Face ID back and all of the above, plus adding a few more upgrades. Once I finish I put them on "Friday?" I ask "Running face recognization" Friday says "Welcome back Elizabeth" Friday says "Hey Friday how ya been?" I ask "I've been good, how are you miss Elizabeth?" Friday asks "Managing. Also just call me Elizabeth please or Liz or Lizzie whatever you want" I answer "Wanna help me upgrade my suit some?" I ask "It would be a pleasure" Friday says
After a few hours I finished my suit and decided to go on a walk. I walk over to the graves. I paid it get a few graves set up next to mays. Luckily I had a lot of money saved up from Tony, he gave me way too much money for food in my other apartment. But hey I'm not complaining. I place a flower on mays, nats, visions, Steve's, Pietros, and Alexander's grave. I look at all of there names smiling at all of the memory's. I hear someone walk up behind me, I turn to see Peter there. "Guess I was going to see you around. Wish it wasn't here but" Peter trails off "Yeah" I sigh "Did you know all of them?" He asks me "Yeah. They all played a pretty big part in my life" I smile "Even may?" He asks "Yeah. She took care of me when I needed it" I tell him "May was my aunt. She probably mentioned you but she helped so many I can't remember them all" he chuckles "Yeah she did. She did mention her nephew, well you I guess a lot. She loved you" I smile "Yeah" he says "Well, I hope you have a good day. I'll probably see you around again" I chuckle "Yeah, you too" he says as I walk off Little did I know there was something inching in the back of Peter's head begging him to remember.
Once I get back to my apartment I got my suit back out. I looked out the window to see Spider-Man swinging around. I smile and use my powers to change into mine. I jump out of my window and let myself fall for a bit before flying up into the sky, looking down on all of New York.
I'll miss everyone, Wanda, Billy, Tommy, Tony, MJ, Ned. Specifically I'll miss Peter. He brought me out of a dark time, he made me a better person and I'll forever be grateful for that.
I don't know what will happen next, but I do know that, when hope dies, you gotta breathe it back to life again. No matter how long it takes or what time it requires. So for the rest of my life, I'll try, I'll try to have hope, I'll try to carry on. Cause maybe one day, we will all be back together again.
