I slowly start to regain consciousness. My eyes adjusting to the lights, I sit up to see I'm in some hospital. It honestly looks like the compounds med bay. I sit up all the way and try to get out of bed. My legs quickly giving out on me as soon as they hit the ground
"Woah woah woah" I hear someone say as they grab my arm I turn to face them to see who it was "Steve?" I ask him "Hey Elizabeth. Long time no see" he smiles I quickly give him a tight hug "Steve it's been so long" I say "Too long" he says helping me back into my bed Then I realize "Steve. Thanos he- Peter and everyone else they they turn to dust and I couldn't- I couldn't save them" I start to say panicking "I know. We fought him too. We lost" he tells me Tears start to flood my eyes again "How are you alive?" Steve asks me "What? What do you mean?" I ask him "Tony said you turned to dust as well" he tells me "What? No no. It's- it's a long story" I tell him sighing, just as I did someone else walks in "Nat?" I ask smiling again "Hey girl" she says giving me a hug
"Start from the beginning" Steve tells me after they gave me some food "Ok umm. This space ship thing showed up while Peter and I were leaving for a field trip. We immediately got out a went to help Tony fight. We ended up getting beamed up. I learn that I'm actually not from this world, the place I was from is destroyed now. My last name is Pandora, meaning 'all-gifted'. That's beside the point. Umm ship flew to some planet called titan. We met the guardians of the galaxy group there or some of them at least. We came up with a plan to fight him. It almost worked then I started fighting him then he threw me aside and stabbed Tony. Because of that strange gave the time stone to thanos to save Tony. Thanos left, after a while I felt something happen. Everyone started turning to dust. I felt a tug inside and I turned to see Peter turning to dust. I felt another one a knew it was Wanda that time. I backed up after they all turned to dust and thanos just appeared behind me grabbed me a took me through a portal. I tried to yell for Tony but it was too late, which I'm guessing is why he thought I turned to dust. He took me to some garden and told me to destroy the stones. I obviously refused. I went months with only one meal every two weeks and some water. My body was giving out on me so I tried one last time to fight thanos. He tricked me, I ended up destroying the stones on accident. I went over to pick them up, then I saw them glow and then I woke up on the ground here." I ask them finally finishing my story "Umm ok that's a lot to take in" nat says "Tell me about it" I mumble "Wait, Elizabeth. How long were you with thanos?" He asks me "Uhhh 2 months maybe a little less" I tell him "That's impossible" he says "What? What do you mean" I ask confused When he doesn't answer I look at nat "Please someone tell me" I say "Elizabeth, thanos snapped 5 years ago" she tells me "What-?" I say "No. No that's not true no. Ho-how?" I ask "How I am here then if it was only a few months for me" I ask them "I don't know. Just go through it all again" he says "Ok, he brought me to his garden. He wanted me to destroy the stones- the, the stones!!" I yell the end "When I grabbed the stones they glowed! The time stone. It must have sent me forward in time" I tell them "That's the most reasonable I guess" nat says "Oh my gosh" I say rubbing my hands on my face After a pause I look back up to them "Have you found a way to bring them back?" I ask them Steve sighs "No, nothing yet" Steve tells me "Get some rest" he tells me as they get up and walk out
I woke up from a nightmare, I used to have them every night but when I met Peter they went away. I guess now that he's gone they came back. I mind started to drift off into memories when nat came running through the door.
"Nat what's wrong?" I ask seeing her face Then Steve walks through. Then Scott. "Scott?" I say as he walks in "Elizabeth?! Man it's been so long how are you? You look so much older" He saying I smile about to answer when Steve speaks up "Scott stay on track" he says "Right right sorry" he mumbles "On track of what?" I ask very confused
My body was still exhausted but there was no way I would sit out of this. We pulled up to Tony's house and I saw him with a little girl in his arms. Steve nat and Scott got out of the car as he starts to walk back to his porch. I get out of the car and close my door. Tony turns around and looks right at me I smile at him tears in my eyes I see tears start to show in Tony's eyes as he looks at nat. She nods her head and he sends her a nod as well before walking inside.
We all stand on porch waiting for him to come back out. As soon as he does I run to give him a hug which he quickly returns. "Living the life I see" I whisper into his ear "You bet" he chuckles quietly Scott tells him the whole plan and he starts to pour some coffee. "Now I know what it sounds like" Scott says "Tony, after everything you've seen is anything really impossible" Steve starts to say as Tony speaks up "Quantum fluctuation, messes with the plank scale, which then triggers the Dortch proposition, can we agree on that?" He says giving Steve some coffee "Thank you" Steve says "In lamest terms it means you're not coming home" he tells us "I did" Scott says "No, you accidentally survived. It's-it's a billion to one cosmic fluke" tony tells him "Now you want to pull a. What do you call it?" Tony asks "A time heist" Scott says proudly grabbing the cup of coffee Tony gave him "Yeah, of course. Why didn't we think of this before? Oh! Because it's laughable, because it's a pipe dream" tony says "The stones are in the past" Steve starts "We can go back we can get them" Steve tells him "We can snap our own fingers, we can bring everybody back" nat pipes in "Or screw it up worse than it already has" tony says "I don't believe we will" Steve says "I gotta say it sometimes I miss that giddy optimism" tony tells Steve "However high hopes won't help if there's no logical, tangible way for me to safely execute said 'time heist'" tony says sitting down "I believe our most like outcome will be our collective demise" tony says "Not if we strictly follow the rules of time travel" Scott says sitting down "I mean, no talking to our past selfs, no betting on sporting events-" he starts to say "Imma stop you right there, Scott" tony says "Are you really telling me your plan to save the universe is based off of back to the future?" He asks, Scott scoffs "Is it?" Tony asks again "No" Scott says "Good, you had me worried there. Cause that be bullshit. That's not how quantum physics works" he says "Tony" nat speaks up "We have to take a stand" she says "We did stand. And yet here we are" tony says No one answers "I know you got a lot on the line, a wife, a daughter. But u lost someone very important to me. A lot of people did. And now-now we have a chance to bring her back, to bring everyone back and you're telling me you won't even-" he gets cut off "That's right Scott I won't even" tony says "I can't" he says as his little girls walks out the door She runs up into his lap as he picks her up "Mommy told me to come and save you" she says "Good job, I'm saved" he says "I wish you were coming here to ask me something else. Anything else. I'm honestly happy to see you guys, oh look tables set for 8-" he says about to walk inside "Tony" Steve cuts him off "Forget it. And I'm happy for you I really am. But this is a second chance." He says "I got my second chance right here cap. I can't roll a dice on it" he says "If you don't talk shop you can stay for lunch" he says walking inside
We all start walking to the car "He's scared" nat says "He's not wrong" Steve says "Yeah but- what are we- what are we going to do, are we going to stop?" Scott asks "No I want to do it right" Steve says "We're going to need a really big brain" he adds "Bigger than his??" Scott asks confused
They start to get back in the car and I stop "Umm hey. Imma stay for a while." I tell them making them look at me "I- I need to talk to him about a few things. Maybe I can talk some sense into him as well" I tell them "Go ahead" Steve nods to me "Call us if you need a ride" nat says "Great now we just lost the smartest people we have" Scott mumbles and nat and Steve look at him offended "Uhhh no offense?" He says scared we all just shake our heads. I watch them drive off and walk back up to his house. Here we go
