The Sapphire Soldier

Part 5

I probably got like 3 hours of sleep last night. I couldn't go to bed, I just keep feeling like something bad is going to happen.

I heard MJ groan awake holding her head
"Ughhh my head is killing me" she mumbles
"Are you ok?" I ask
"Yeah. When did I go to bed? I can't even remember" she tells me
"Uhhh I don't know but we went to bed at the same time" I tell her
She just gives me a thumbs up laying on the bed

MJ and I walk up to the group with are bags in our hands.
"Good news. We're going to Prague." Mr. Harrington tell us.
"Damn you fury" I say her my breath
"What?" Everyone asks
"Prague?" Peter mumbles
I look over at Peter but he was already looking at me with a worried face
"You should've heard me on the phone with them. I really gave them hell." Mr. Harrington tells us
"All I heard was crying." Mr. Dell says
We all walk outside to see a big bus waiting for us. And a guy holding a sign.
"Look at our upgraded ride" Mr. Harrington said
"I'm impressed Mr. Harrington." Mr. Dell says shocked
"Peter what-what's going on?" Ned whispers to him
"I think Nick Fury just hijacked our summer vacation" peter whispers back
"I'm Mr. Harrington to the kids, uh.." Mr. Harrington says to the man but he just stares ahead
"Awesome" Ned says
"Yeah awesome" Peter mumbles

I was sitting on the bus by myself reading my book when someone comes and sits down next to me

"Hey girl" Hailey says
"I haven't gotten the chance to talk you. Thought now was a good chance" she tells me
"Oh sure" I say with a small smile
Hailey talked to me the entire time. Asking me really strange questions if I'm being honest. I tried to think nothing off it but I couldn't shake it off
"And Bella! I wanted to show you my pet!" Hailey tells me pulling out her phone
"His name is sugar, he's adorable isn't he?" She tells me showing a picture of her bunny
"He is. How long have you had him?" I ask trying to be nice
"My family's had him for years. He loves the stage too. He played baby Jesus in the school's play once." She tells me
"Oh wow" I nod

After about an hour of Hailey talking we pulled up to a small town.

The bus driver who I realized was Dimitri from the night with fury.
"Petrol and toilets. Ten minutes!" He yells
"Dimitri where exactly are we?" Mr. Harrington asks him getting no answer

After everyone gets off the bus I didn't see Peter.  I went looking for him when I walked past Brad
"Hey Brad have you seen peter?" I ask him
"No no I haven't" he tells me
"Oh ok thank you" I say starting to walk off but he stops me
"Hey umm i have a question" he asks
"Yeah?" I ask
"Do you want to hang out some time when we get there" He asks
"Oh uhh I mean yeah sure" I say with a small smile
"Great!" He starts to say when we hear Mr.Dell speak up
"Okay put your one foot in front of the other and everybody back on the bus." Mr. Dell yells
"It's been 10 minutes. Let's go!" Dimitri yells

I was sitting alone on the bus again just looking out the window. I had already finished the book MJ and I brought. I'll have to tell her I won. I open the glasses case that Tony gave me to see a note.
"To the next leader, I trust you" the note said
I smile before putting the glasses on
"Stand by for retinal and biometric scan." A voice says
"Show off" I mumble
"Hello Elizabeth." the voice said
"Friday?" I ask
"Yes, Tony stark thought I would be a good gift to you" Friday says
"Gosh Tony. Always trying to one up me" I laugh
"How have you been Fri?" I ask
"I have been good. I mostly have been monitoring Tony's health" Friday tells me
"Can you still monitor his health from here?" I ask
"Yes I can. As of right now he is still in a deep coma" he tells me
I sigh knowing it would be the same answer it's always been
Suddenly the bus was jerked to the side causing me to almost fall out of my chair.
I sat up to realize my glasses fell off. I grabbed them off of the floor and when I sat back up I saw Peter standing in front of everyone. I look at him confused
"Peter! Plant your fanny and buckle up now."
Mr. Harrington yells
"Look at the baby mountain goats!" Peter yells
"Baby mountain goats?" Mr. Harrington says looking out the window
The whole bus turns to look but I keep my eyes on Peter. Suddenly he jumps out of the bus and shoots his webs, I look behind the bus to see a drone aiming for us
His webs hit it right as it was shooting causing it to explode
Peter comes back down into the bus before anyone could see he left

"I don't see any mountain goats." Mr. Harrington says turning back
"You missed them" Peter tells him
"I know you think none of us have noticed Peter" Betty says
"What?" Peter asks
"But your new look, I love it" Betty tell him
"Right babe?" Betty asks Ned
"Yeah. Sophisticated, classy and very
European" Ned says
Peter sighs and sits back in his chair

"You gonna tell me why that drone was here?" I ask Peter in his head
"Nope" he says back and I roll my eyes

Once we arrive at the hotel everyone stares wide eyed.
"Whoa freaking beautiful." Someone says
"This is amazing." Someone else says
"Wow this place is so classy" Betty says
"Yeah so why are we here?" Ned asks
"Speak for yourself. I'm home." Flash tells us
"What can I say? The squeaky wheel gets the upgrade grease. Everyone get settled, rest up, because tonight, big surprise, is Prague's annual Carnival of Lights." Mr. Harrington says

I look at my phone which had buzzed seeing some institutions from fury.
I see Peter talking to Ned which I'm guessing he got the same text.
"The good news is we've all got our own rooms" Mr. Harrington says excitedly as the group cheers

"Pandora? Parker?" Fury says snapping me out of my thoughts
"Yes, sir." We both say
"That thing is going to be here in a few hours. Are we boring you?" He asks
"They're not bored. They're just thinking about how you kidnapped them" Quentin tells him
"They had obstacles. I removed them" Fury tells him
"They still won't evacuate the city." Hill says
"Idiots." Fury scoffed
"It's the biggest parade in the world did you really think they are going to pack it up and tell everyone to go home?" I ask him but he just send me a glare
"So what's the plan, Pandora, Parker?" Fury asks
"Elizabeth and I will be in the cathedral tower, keeping watch for the fire monster" Peter says
"When that shows up, I will radio you guys, and then Mr. Beck, Elizabeth, and I will-" Peter starts to say but gets cut off
"My name is Mysterio" Quentin tell him
Peter just smiles at him
"And that's when Mysterio, Elizabeth and I will close in." He finishes
"Kids, listen to me. The best hope you have, the only hope, is to stop it here now, no matter what the cost. Maneuver it away from civilians if you can, but most important, keep it away from metal." Quentin says
"If it gets too big, it'll draw power from the Earth's core. After that, there's no way to stop it." He tells us
"Our friends are here. And I can't help but think we're putting them in danger." Peter tells them
"You're worried about us hurting your friends?"
Fury says
"You, who called a drone strike on your own school tour bus?" Fury raised his voice
"Stark gave you a multibillion-dollar A.R. tactical intelligence system, and the first thing you do with it is try and blow up your friends. It's clear to me that you were not ready for this." Fury tells him
"Was it not Peter that told you he wasn't ready? But you took over the school trip to get him here. It takes a lot to overcome fear but it's a whole other level humbling yourself to say you aren't ready. Thats on you, not him" right as I finish I fly off onto the roof not wanting to speak with him anymore
It wasn't long before Peter came and sat next to me
"Thank you by the way" he says
"Anytime" I smile nudging him with my shoulder
Then Mr. Beck flys up next to us
"Fury asked me to come up here and see how you were doing. He just. he felt bad about snapping at you." He tells Peter
"Really?" Peter asks
"You guys do have sarcasm on this Earth, right?" He asks
"How you feeling?" Quentin asked us
"Uh. I didn't think I was gonna have to save the world this summer. I know that makes me sound like such a jerk. I just had this plan. and now it's all ruined." He tells him
Beck looks at me waiting for a answer
"Nothing new. I don't think the word 'break' was ever meant for me" I say
"You're not jerks for wanting a normal life. It's a hard path. You see things. You do things. You make choices. People look up to you. and even if you win a battle, sometimes they die or get hurt" Beck says
"I like you Peter, Elizabeth. You're good kids. There's a part of me that wants me to tell you just. turn around, run away from all this. Then there's another part of me that knows what we're about to fight, what's at stake, and I'm glad you're here." He tells us
"Me too" peter sighs
"But you're worried about your friends" he adds
"We always end up putting them in danger." Peter tells him
"Look just get them inside and keep them in a safe place for just a few hours. They'll be all right." He tells him
"It's really nice to have somebody to talk to about superhero stuff, you know?" Peter says and I look at him
"I see how it is Peter" I roll my eyes
"That's not what I meant!" He says quickly
"Yeah yeah I know" I mumble shaking my head laughing
"Anytime." Beck says. Uhhh excuse me that's my line
"See you out there." Peter says
"All right" Quentin nods

Peter and I jumped down the building but look over to a old couple staring at us because we scared them
"mi dispiace" I tell them
